It also shows a lack of understanding of the characters they like because a lot of the discussions nowadays are all about powerscaling and who beats who and who would win in a battle etc. Nevermind that powerscaling is, by default, a flawed system and never accurate.

@Sam123454c @o6frog This is a problem with a lot of anime fans tbh, particularly ones who like the more "popular" shonens. Not a lot of people appreciate character and personality growth as part of an arc, its all about who has the buggest bestest move now and aura etc.

@Sam123454c @o6frog Yeah I did want move from him and to see what he was like post possession, but characters getring stronger physically isnt the only way they can improve and grow in the story and its kinda sad that non-power based character arcs are getting less and less favoured.

@Sam123454c @o6frog Megumi's story arc isnt about him improving as a jujutsu sorcerer, its about him choosing to live as a jujutsu sorceror. We have so many scenes of him choosing death bc he feels its the only way, he's depressed as fuck, but at the end of his story arc he chooses to live.
