@MontyGlu I like to share my prep methods, but I ALWAYS make sure to mention that different DMs have different styles of play, so some prep methods may not be as useful for them, as they are for me.

@roll20app @Wizards_DnD Overpreparing can be quite bad, but the way I see it is: everything you prepare for a game, whether or not it gets used, is good practice for future games. Plus, you can always reuse materials. Nothing needs to be wasted.
Just like how fan-fiction can be good writing practice.

@roll20app @Wizards_DnD If you really want to have a roleplay-heavy game, but you're playing with a bunch of murderhobos... that's fine. There's always potential for future games with either other people, or even with your original group, once they feel more comfortable role-playing.
