1. Hey, it's another year passed and I am grateful for life.

There was a time when girls stayed away from mathematics because they thought it was meant for “geniuses” or “boys.”

At Special Maths Academy, we decided to challenge that belief.

A student in Lagos signed up for our Special Maths Contest because her teacher told her to “just try.”

Another student in Abuja joined, too.
Then, another girl from Ogun State registered as well.

None of them knew that one decision would open doors far beyond Nigeria.

In 2019, when Special Maths Academy was founded, we carried a dream in our hearts that one day Nigeria would be represented at the European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO).
