🚨Let's talk about Linea Tokenomics & Airdrop, with my own analysis.
No small talk, real prediction for your wallet.

→ 75% Ecosystem (25% unlock during the first 12-18 months)
→ 15% Consensys (Lockup 5-year)
→ 10% for early contributors: 9% for LXP users, 1% for strategic builder (communities & builders)

→ Token supply: 72B (100%)
→ TGE supply: 15.8B (22%)
→ TGE airdrop: 7.2B (10%)
→ Users supply at TGE: 6.48B (9%)
→ Strategic builders at TGE: 0.72B (1%)

Why 22% supply at launch?
TGE airdrop = 10%
The remaining 12% will be used for liquidity and market makers, liquidity provisioning, time-sensitive builders grants and partnerships, and other initiatives pursued by governance. It’s definitively not a sell pressure.

My view: 9% for LXP holders is way more than I was expecting. My initial expectation was between 12.5% and 15%, but for everything: LXP, LXP-L and Builders.

The most interesting part here is: threshold and multipliers. Y’all remember my airdrop prediction? We are very close from it now. We still don't know exactly how much wallet will be eligible and the fdv at launch.

But luckily, math are simple:
=> Without threshold, there’s 780 243 LXP users
=> With a 1500 LXP threshold, there's 502 917 LXP users
=> With a 2000 LXP threshold, there’s only 328 918 LXP users

=> Average token received with a 1500 LXP threshold: 12 888 tokens / wallet
=> Average Linea token received with a 2 000 LXP threshold: 19 705 tokens / wallet

Price per token at $5B FDV: $0,0694
Price per token at $10B FDV: $0,1389
Price per token at $15B FDV: $0,2083

=> Total with a 1500 LXP threshold at $5B: $894

Should I keep it?

If you really think that the supply have any impact, ask this question to any LLM: “What’s the difference of value between a project at $10b FDV and 100B token supply, versus a project at $10b FDV and 100 000 token supply?”

For the mid-OG that was there in 2021, the bubble mania comes from the retail that purchased high supply token thinking they were early, lmao.

Conclusion: I'm very bullish on Linea airdrop, and I'm since day one. Threshold, rewarding communities, multipliers, I push for all of that back in November 2024 and it finally happens.

But I'm even more bullish on the ecosystem Consensys is currently creating. Many opportunities will emerge to either: build app on the only environment that's 100% compatible with Ethereum without any compromise or to make money as users by provide LP or doing some arbitrage investment.
