@nagarjund Entire BTM I stage, KEB Layout dug up since December 2025. Cross roads are like paddy fields. The roads are caving in coz of rains. Only pipes are laid, new connection yet to be given.
🍎❤️ Can you still remember the name of the teacher who changed your life?
Not the one who taught a chapter.
The one who changed your future.
When C. S. Vastrad, a teacher at Kumareshwar High School in Hangal, Karnataka, retired, more than 1,000 former students returned to celebrate the man who had spent decades shaping young lives.
Among them was one student with a particularly emotional story.
Years ago, Naveen Hulihalli lost his father and was on the verge of giving up his education because his family could no longer afford the fees.
Many people saw a struggling student.
Vastrad Sir saw potential.
Without seeking recognition, he paid Naveen's school fees for several years, ensuring that financial hardship would not become the end of a young boy's dreams.
Life moved on.
Naveen completed his education, built a successful career, and today works at an MNC in Bengaluru.
But he never forgot the teacher who stood beside him when he needed help the most.
So at Vastrad Sir's farewell, Naveen arrived with a surprise that left everyone emotional.
A brand-new car.
Not as a gift.
As a thank you.
A thank you for the faith, kindness, and support that helped change the course of his life.
Because great teachers don't just teach mathematics, science, or history.
They teach confidence.
They teach hope.
And sometimes, they quietly become the reason a student's future exists at all.
Years pass.
Careers are built.
Lives change.
But some teachers are never forgotten.

@GBA_office have you stopped collecting garbage? It's been more than a week since garbage is collected on 8th A main, BTM I Stage. This has been the case since 2-3 months. Y are we paying garbage tax? Marshalls or contractor doesn't exist?? @Tejasvi_Surya
After last night's hailstorm, this tree has uprooted. It now rests on the opposite house. Wonder when @GBA_office will chop it before further damage is caused. #bengalururains
Same trains. Same country.
But in Mizoram, people carry their trash, follow rules, respect public spaces, and put others first.
Their secret? Tlâwmngaihna — a way of life built on responsibility, humility, and community.
From silent streets to spotless trains, Mizoram proves civic sense isn’t about stricter laws.
It’s about values taught early and lived daily.
Maybe the change India needs doesn’t begin with infrastructure — but with us.🌟

🇮🇳📚Two million books, free for anyone to borrow and read.
That's what Anke Gowda, a retired sugar factory worker from India's southern Karnataka state, has accumulated over the past five decades.
"When you start reading books it is addictive, like tasting candy"

The rain “disasters” is a result of not holding BBMP/GBA elections for years. Corporators/City Councillors at least keep an eye on their wards. Now no one is there to see what’s happening. Sadly no MLA irrespective of his/her party wants GBA elections. Reason- More public representatives, more people to share the collection! #BengaluruRains
2026 BENGALURU SUMMER: SEASON REVIEW
=======================================
Good morning, friends!
Let's do a quick review of the Bengaluru 2026 summer so far.
To begin with, I have shared the summer phase data (March–May) for the last 16 years, starting from 2010. On average, Bengaluru crosses the summer threshold of ~34°C on approximately 49 days per summer season.
The month that contributes the maximum number of Summer days shared below:
Feb = 1
March = 17
April = 22
May = 9
Now lets turn our gaze to summer of 2026:
Feb = 0
March = 6
April [1st to 20th] = 15
Note:
-As you can see, both February and March were relatively pleasant. March recorded only 6 days that crossed the summer threshold of ~34°C.
-April started quietly, but summer temperatures began consistently after the 5th. While we have seen many 36°C days this April, this is not unprecedented.
-At this point, it looks like April 2026 will end with around 24 days of summer temperatures (34°C and above). This falls well within the normal range of approximately 22 such days.
-Therefore, despite a warm April, we are currently on track for a normal or slightly below-normal summer this year.
-The only notable feature has been the frequency of 36°C days in the last seven days, but even this does not represent a major anomaly.
Social media may sensationalize the situation and claim that Bengaluru has turned into the Thar Desert. However, such narratives require actual numbers and evidence to hold up.
Subjective experiences, while valid personally, cannot be presented as objective reality that withstands scrutiny.
Anyway, hold on friends — better days are just around the corner. In another 7–8 days, we should start seeing a mix of on-and-off summer temperatures. By mid-May, we can expect more days settling around 32°C.

Clarification: LPG Refill Booking Timings
Reports circulating in sections of the news and on social media about changes in LPG refill booking norms are incorrect.
There is no change in LPG refill booking norms.
• Minimum gap between two refill bookings remains:
– 25 days in urban areas
– 45 days in rural areas
• These timelines continue as per existing guidelines.
Please, avoid panic booking. There is adequate LPG availability to meet demand.

That pink paradise on your feed? It’s not a fluke—it’s a 40-year-old legacy. 🌸
In the 80s, while concrete rose, IFS officer S.G. Neginhal fought back. He didn't just plant trees; he engineered a forest.
From bamboo guards to 1.5 million saplings, he turned Bengaluru into the Garden City one Tabebuia rosea at a time.
Should every Indian city adopt this model? Comment below!

Signs of toxic workplaces
1. Promote titles and not salaries
2. Working while sick is a sign of loyalty.
3. Disagreeing with the boss isn't tolerated
4. Leaving at 7.30PM is a sign of dedication
5. Working during lunch is seen as devotion
6. Replying to emails at 11 pm is a sign of commitment
7. Manager has more impact on your mental health than your doctor.
8. Would rather lose a good employee than fix their toxic management team.
9. Hire qualified candidates and then micromanage them into miserable employees.
10. Managers are loud when you make a fault but quiet when you do something good.
