There is a storm raging in Jammu and Kashmir and the silence from those elected to power is deafening. With JKSSB continuing to be plagued by repeated exam scams, a deeply flawed reservation policy is being deliberately weaponised to systematically keep Kashmiris out of government jobs.

Despite having 50 MLAs and 3 MPs, CM @OmarAbdullah chooses to turn a blind eye to all this. His energy is not spent on attempting to fix a broken system or defending the rights of his people but on securing control over bureaucratic transfers. @OmarAbdullah sb, you were entrusted with a mandate to be the voice and shield of our people, defend their rights, dignity and future. But your silence & inaction clearly indicate that your greatest concern is staying in the good books of the central government, even if it means selling out your own people in the process.

Let me not mince any words - the actual cost of your compliance is not just political but human. It’s paid every single day by millions of our youngsters who are being denied opportunities, robbed of their self-respect & pushed into despair. And while history of these times is being written, your silence will be seen as complicity. If the cries of your own youth don’t shake your conscience then nothing ever will.

Received hundreds of phone calls from distressed JE aspirants since yesterday. Our youth can’t dare to dream because the government itself is wilfully shattering their dreams with every successive scam & the inordinate delay to rationalise reservation.

We demand relief for JE aspirants by delaying their exam to a date that doesn’t clash with another competitive exam. Instead of being apologetic and making amends JKSSB is again throwing them into despair. Why are you criminalising education & merit?

JE Civil Aspirants are requesting postponement of JKSSB exams planned for 31st Aug. JE Civil exam clashes with UPSC, and Electrical paper already faced a scam. Without inquiry & fair conditions, holding exams is injustice. @OmarAbdullah ji kindly take up this issue JKSSB must be banned and removed
