Throughout obtaining my BA, I studied mostly the Middle Ages, or close to it & there are countless pogroms against the Jewish people documented. So much so, that they became part of almost every major paper I wrote during my studies. The Holocaust isn't all they've endured.
The way we typically teach the Holocaust perpetuates the idea that it was a freak, one-off event, when in fact people have actively been trying to exterminate the Jewish people for nearly 4,000 years:
