The best way to improve your ability to think is to spend large chunks of time thinking.

One way to force yourself to slow down and think is to write. Good writing requires good thinking.

Writing gives poor thinking nowhere to hide. A lack of understanding becomes visible.

A simple question that changes behavior:

Does what I’m about to do move me closer or further away from the most important thing?

Another way of saying this is that if you work in an organization that isn’t fully remote, the people that go in the office everyday will get promoted faster and go further than people who choose to work from home.
