SO proud of all of our residents. Pround of Drs. @AnjaliAPatel_EM and Jessica Shenoi for putting together an amazing #DEI presentation on Art in Medicine to highlight the disparities and injustices black patients have experienced in American history. 1/2
Interviewed applicants today and they made me realize - I’m so thankful for everyone at @UAMS_EM ! Insanely blessed to be a part of this family!
If any applicant wants to know more, please reach out! More than happy to share my experiences!
Many medicine procedures involve (1) pushing a needle into a fluid-filled space, (2) advancing a plastic catheter over the needle into the space, (3) pulling the needle out, and (4) leaving the catheter in either for drainage or infusion.
Things often go wrong at (2).

I’ve been in the ED so much that when visiting my parents and watching their motel on my days off, I keep wanting to answer the motel phone with “ED, this is Anjali.” 😅🤦🏽♀️
One of my favorite parts of @UAMS_EM orientation month was the community tour! It was eye opening seeing the care centers! I definitely have a deeper understanding of what resources are available for my patients! Thanks @MereVonD_MD !!
When you have the best co-interns in the world and you are so thankful that you matched at @UAMS_EM 🥰
Thanks for the encouragement tonight @AnjaliAPatel_EM
@shewearsscrubs The picture works! But like I’ve read, it’ll be a good investment! JC Penney had tons of coupons that you can use to get it done super cheap!
Officially changed my Twitter profile to include Anjali Patel, MD MS and @uamshealth alumni! 😱🙃😊 still have to think twice before adding those letters that I’ve waited SO many years for!
As a physician in Arkansas, I feel our recently passed legislation violates medical ethics. I will continue to treat everyone without question. That includes racist, KKK members, and seditionist. My medical degree was intended to follow science and treat people, not judge them
@TaneishaRenae I definitely felt that! You get to know and get comfortable with one then bam your whole schedule and experience changes! Exhausting for sure
- Intern group chat ✅
- @paigeplum_EM and I loving giving Little Rock tips to future fam ✅
- Overly excited about it all ✅🤣🤣

@maturishstudnt Don’t try to go on an unsustainable diet. Just focus on eating fresh, unprocessed foods with an exercising regimen that you like! Don’t have to try to do a bunch of cardio if you don’t like it. In fact a good mix of cardio and weights is what I’ve found works best!
