My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.

Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.

He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.

I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.

He is a true hero.

This woman @talk2anuradha reportedly earned her engineering degree from a state university in Faridabad, whose ranking in India hovers around 150, and where seats in Mechanical and Civil Engineering reportedly remain vacant every year because hardly anyone wants them, is calling @priyanka2bharti , a JNU-educated woman, ‘illiterate’ on camera.

And here is another example of blatant shamelessness, Times Now brings this woman onto its panel and presents her as a “Professor,” even though her Master’s degree is not publicly clear. Navika Kumar introduces Anuradha Tiwari to the entire country as ‘Professor Anuradha Tiwari’ , If it were merely an innocent mistake, it could easily have been corrected during an hour-long show. But instead, she was repeatedly presented with the “Professor” title, creating a completely misleading image.

"सिर्फ़ काबिलियत को कभी भी एकमात्र कसौटी नहीं माना जा सकता। अगर इसे ही एकमात्र कसौटी मान लिया जाए, तो नतीजा यह होगा कि फ़्रांसीसियों का कामकाज जर्मन, तुर्कों का रूसी और चीनियों का जापानी लोग संभाल सकते हैं।"
उन्होंने आलोचकों को सर हेनरी कैंपबेल-बैनरमैन के मशहूर राजनीतिक सिद्धांत की याद दिलाई कि "अच्छी [काबिल] सरकार से बेहतर स्व-शासन है"।
उन्होंने तर्क दिया कि जिस तरह भारतीयों ने बेहतर प्रशासनिक काबिलियत का दावा करने के बावजूद ब्रिटिश शासन को ठुकरा दिया था, उसी तरह भारत में हाशिए पर पड़े समुदाय "योग्यता" (merit) के नाम पर ऊंची जातियों के दबदबे वाले प्रशासन को स्वीकार नहीं कर सकते।

ब्रिटिश शासन के दौरान पब्लिक सर्विस के इतिहास पर अपनी पांडुलिपि (जो वॉल्यूम 12 में शामिल है) में, डॉ. अंबेडकर ने ऊंची जातियों के कुलीन वर्ग द्वारा इस्तेमाल किए जाने वाले "सिर्फ़ काबिलियत" (efficiency pure and simple) के तर्क को साफ़ तौर पर खारिज कर दिया:
"इसके उलट, ब्राह्मण 'सिर्फ़ काबिलियत' के आधार पर अपनी बात रखते हैं। वे जानते हैं कि शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में अपनी बेहतर स्थिति की वजह से यही वह एकमात्र दांव है जिसे वे कामयाबी से खेल सकते हैं। लेकिन वे यह भूल जाते हैं कि अगर काबिलियत ही एकमात्र पैमाना होता, तो बहुत मुमकिन है कि उन्हें सरकारी नौकरियों पर उस तरह और उस हद तक एकाधिकार जमाने का मौका नहीं मिलता जैसा उन्होंने किया है। क्योंकि अगर काबिलियत को ही एकमात्र पैमाना बनाया जाता, तो भारत के ब्राह्मणों की जगह अंग्रेज़ों, फ़्रांसीसियों, जर्मनों और तुर्कों को नौकरी पर रखने में कोई बुराई नहीं होती।"
उन्होंने बताया कि अगर "सिर्फ़ काबिलियत" ही एकमात्र पैमाना होता, तो ब्रिटिश प्रशासक—या विदेशी विशेषज्ञ—भारतीय प्रशासन को चलाने का ज़्यादा हक जता सकते थे, न कि देश की ऊंची जातियां।

The sheer stupidity is staggering.
A basic Google reverse image search is all it takes to prove that “house” is a commercial Kerala resort or homestay in Pathanamthitta , not some modest family home belonging to her mythical ST friend who supposedly leveraged reservation for NIT, a PSU job, and then IIM.
She fabricated an entire sob-story around a tourist property and expected no one to notice.

मैं कई बार सोचता हूँ की पारसी/ईरानी तो हिंदू है नहीं, न ही वह सरकारी नौकरी करते है, करते भी होंगे तो कम ही करते होंगे, सरकारी स्कूलों कॉलेजों में कम ही पढ़ते है, ज़्यादा बिज़नेस में है, उनके ग्राहक भी एससी एसटी ओबीसी है, फिर कुछ पारसी लोग आरक्षण क विरोध क्यों करते है?
