Many obese people are only focused on reducing calories in order to lose weight.
Many of them are not losing weight inspite of reducing calories.
The problem may not be calories.
Check Insulin/HOMA IR levels.
If it is high, just reducing calories won't help you much. You need to work on reducing insulin levels.
Check blood cortisol levels. If it is high , the problem is in your stress levels. The problem may be excess screen time. The problem may be in the way you think. You need to work on reducing cortisol levels.
There are multiple reasons for obesity. Many of them are still unknown. From genetics to stress, to processed foods, to hormones etc.
First you need to find the reason for obesity and then work on that. Just simply reducing calories may not help you.
A calorie from Brocolli and a calorie from a pizza are different.
