Subject: Concerns regarding school policies and practices
affecting my child's education
I am writing to bring to your attention several concerns
regarding the school's policies and practices that are affecting
my child's education and well-being.

1. Change in Books and Publications: What is the policy
regarding changes in books and publications every new
academic session? Is it mandatory to purchase books from the
school only, as per CBSE, Delhi Government, and Delhi
Department regulations.

2. Reuse of Materials: We have some materials from last year
that can still be used this year, such as math instruments,
maps, and art supplies like paints. However, the school is
making it mandatory to purchase new ones this year.

3. Mobile Phone Ban: What is the rule regarding the ban on
parents' mobile phones within the school premises.

4. Cash Payment for Books and Uniforms: Why is it
mandatory to make cash payments for books and uniforms
when fees are being accepted online.

5. Publication and Shop Details: Why is the school not
providing the name and address of the publication and shop,
along with the mobile number, for parents to make informed
purchases.

6. Children's Fear and Lack of Access to Principal: Due to
the issues mentioned above, and the school management's
stance, my child has not received the necessary books,
resulting in their reluctance to attend school. I have been
unable to meet the principal despite repeated requests. Who is
responsible for addressing this fear and ensuring my child's
well-being.

7. Academic Performance and Responsibility: My child is
falling behind in studies due to the school's behaviour. What
action will the school take to address this issue.

8. Emotional Distress: My child has never had an overdue fee
payment, yet the school's behaviour is causing emotional
distress and creating a sense of inferiority. The child is now hesitant to attend school, asking when they can go, and this is
affecting our family life.

9. Cost of Textbooks: My daughters in first and sixth grade
have books costing around ₹15,000-₹16,000. Could you please
share the guidelines and rationale behind the pricing of these
textbooks.

10. Book List: I have not received the book list for First Class
and Sixth Class from the school, hindering my ability to
purchase the required textbooks. Please provide the reasons
for this delay and when I can expect the list.

11. Unprofessional Behaviour: The behaviour of your school's
reception and coordinator is unprofessional. They have been
instructed that purchasing books is mandatory and no written
confirmation will be provided.

12. Violation of Government Guidelines: It has come to our
notice that your school is violating the guidelines issued by the
Government of Delhi, Department of Education, vide order
https://t.co/go1s4dAVsi.15(305)/PSB/2020/Pt. File /2633-2640) dated
24.03.2025, which states that private schools cannot coerce
students and parents to purchase books, materials, and
uniforms. Despite this, your school is coercing us to purchase
books and other materials in an arbitrary manner.

13. Financial Pressure: The school's actions are putting
undue financial pressure on us, and non-compliance is
affecting our children's education, which is detrimental to their
mental well-being and future career.
I've been following up with the school's receptionist,
coordinator, and book stall for 15 days, and I've requested
them four times already. My mobile gets confiscated, and I'm
given vague responses. They haven't provided any written
confirmation or receipt, and they're not willing to give one
either
I request that you provide a written response to these concerns
and take necessary a
