Defoaming operations are about to commence at Kalindi Kunj Ghat, Delhi, to break down surface surfactants and temporarily clear the toxic froth. While this chemical intervention masks the visual pollution, it remains a short-term band-aid solution for the Yamuna's deeper ecological crisis. @DelhiJalBoard @CMODelhi @gupta_rekha

Europe is facing a civilisational challenge.

How does a society remain open, liberal and compassionate without losing its sense of identity, social cohesion and security?

Where does tolerance end and the responsibility to preserve a society’s values begin?

The growing tensions across Europe show that finding this balance is far more difficult than preaching it.

Untreated toxic chemical waste is being discharged into stormwater drains in Noida. This hazardous effluent flows directly into the Hindon River, severely polluting it before ultimately contaminating the Yamuna River. @noida_authority @CeoNoida @rouppcbgbn @uppcbofficial @dmgbnagar

Every other day, they fight inside the Gurdwaras. This is a famous video from NYC in which Jatt Sikhs attacked a Gurdwara of Dalit Sikhs to gain control. Later, the NYPD entered the Gurdwara with K9 dogs. Why do they only respect their Guru in BJP-ruled states? These people are playing mind games. Please don’t be defensive; instead, just say: stop sheltering criminals inside the Gurdwara and file an FIR against the volunteers who stopped the police during the operation.

This is McLeod Ganj.

We love calling our hills "India's Switzerland." But Switzerland is clean because its people respect their mountains.

Every piece of trash here was thrown by one of us.

Want world-class mountains? Start with world-class habits. Carry your trash back down.

Himachal needs to start promoting trash tourism now.. Come volunteer to clean and get a room and food for free for a few days.

Unconditional apologies to @sonamohapatra When she said Himachal was choking under garbage, I was defending my state, but I guess she was right. 💔This is becoming a common sight now. McLeod Ganj welcomes thousands of national and international tourists, and this is how we treat our own beautiful surroundings? What a shame.
