Hon'ble Minister of Railways, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that with the new shipping and container line being developed in partnership with CONCOR, the country can build a robust, world-class container ecosystem with investments of about Rs 15,000 crore.

When aviation faltered at Hyderabad last December, Ms. Shifali Kumar (IRTS:2008), Sr. DCM, Secunderabad Division, spearheaded a relief effort which led to running of 14 special trains that helped 3200+ stranded air passengers.
Under her leadership, Secunderabad division opened an in-airport help desk at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad displaying exceptional inter-ministerial coordination and professionalism.

Warm congratulations to Shri Asok Kumar Haldar, an ex-Railway Guard for getting awarded with distinguished Padma Shri in recognition for his work in literature, contributing to the preservation and promotion of regional intellectual traditions.

Shri Haldar has authored thirteen books (eight in English & five in Bengali) that explore themes ranging from social transformation to human consciousness. His contributions also include publication of more than 2500 articles in various reputed journals and newspapers.
