Healing really started when I stopped dragging the past with me everywhere I go. I had to accept what happened, learn from it, and let it stay where it belongs. Holding onto old situations only kept me stuck in a place I already survived. I don’t erase the past, I just don’t let it control how I move anymore. I choose peace, growth, and what’s next.
If you keep having to tell someone the same exact thing about how you feel and nothing ever changes, pay attention to that. It isn’t because they don’t understand you. They heard you the first time. They just got comfortable knowing they could keep doing it and you’d still be there. At some point you gotta accept that no change is your answer, and move on with your life.
hate to admit it, but they were right.. you kinda need to disappear, lock in like crazy, raise your standards, and refuse to lower them to get your dream life..
I don’t randomly start treating people different. My energy changes when yours does. I pay attention to effort, consistency, and how people handle me over time. If I become distant, it didn’t happen overnight. It happened after I got tired of overlooking the same things. The way I treat you will always reflect the way you treat me.
After certain situations, you don’t look at people the same anymore. No matter how hard you try to forgive them, the vibe is just off. The trust isn’t the same, the conversations don’t feel the same, and the connection just isn’t what it used to be. That’s why I stopped forcing myself to see past things. Once something changes how I see you, it stays that way.
You didn’t care how your actions were affecting me. Not when I was explaining it. Not when I was trying to communicate it. Not even when it was clearly hurting me. It only mattered once it started affecting how I treated you. Once I pulled back. Once I changed. Once I stopped being the same with you. That’s when you noticed. So no. I will not allow you to have access to me ever again.
Some people would rather lose the relationship than admit they were wrong because some people genuinely struggle to see themselves as flawed. They end up creating a completely different narrative and perspective of what went down than yours. A lot of it is so subconscious they don’t even realise they’re doing it. It’s a way their brain has learned to compartmentalise things, dismiss things or distance themselves from uncomfortable realities in order to cope with the idea of being wrong, making mistakes or being an imperfect human being. Admitting fault feels uncomfortable to them and threatening.
Being an understanding person is the worst kind of thing ever, you have to understand people's situations, their problems and traumas but when it comes to you, you will scream alone and will absolutely fight alone, no one will ever bother themselves to check up on you
My intuition is SO crazy. I can literally have no evidence of what's going on but still know there's something going on behind my back & I'm always right😭
