@Ngnghm@hmemcpy You don't need mocks to create a test, that doesn't stress other systems. Instead of mocks just design the code in such a way, that testing is possible without mocks.
Every time I post that mocks are bad,
I see how so many engineers are not even aware of the simple techniques to test their apps confidently without introducing tons of accidental complexity.
At this point, I feel like I ought to make a video.
@alexbunardzic Depends on what you mean by structure I suppose. But if you assert data using a given structure, say using named properties or whatever - those asserts will break if you rename the properties.
@ptr_to_joel You need to put those files into a directory and then you need to focus on the use case, the what's and the why's, instead of the implementation details; _what_ is this program doing with this employee thing contra how it does it.
@hollylawly First off don't use your phone when you wake up. Relax and lie still (super boring). Check the time once in a while when you think half an hour has passed. You will notice that suddenly more time passed than you expected. Because you sleep and wake up not realizing. Probably.
@ChShersh @bazmozz I think you misunderstood. What I wonder is: How du you use Git _with_ GitHub. I just push to GitHub, it doesn't play any role in my local workflow. Maybe I missed that people are using GitHub locally somehow?
@sjakksnakk@NorwayChess Cool thanks. I hope I'll be able to travel in time to catch it! Good luck, cheering from Denmark for you to succeed :)
Lykke til, dere får det til vett du!
