It breaks me.

@Samanthac54j What a lovely thing, that he genuinely loves and cares for you. He is a keeper. I can't keep up with y'all during the day because I can't have my tablet at work. Too much personal info in my work space, would get me fired, that might be a good thing. I'm 67 and ready to retire.

@DSFisAddlepated I thank you. I think that time is soon. I went from running collections and legals for 4 offices. Then the company that bought us has 50 offices all over my state. Now I have been bumped down to just managing my office and it stinks. I need to be busy.

This is a good man.

The very first time Boone approached me a few years ago, he carried something you rarely see: authority and kindness at the same time. Very few people truly understand how to balance the two, much less possess the character to deploy both naturally.

I knew then there was something special about him.

But behind men like Boone is something people too often forget: a family that sacrifices alongside them.

His family gave up time with him so the rest of us could benefit from his skills, his service, and his patriotism. They carried burdens most of us will never see, and they made sacrifices for which we could never adequately repay them.

So now, take care of this man’s family.

That is how we honor his service.
That is how we honor his sacrifice.
That is how we honor his legacy.

I only wish we could have had more conversations, Boone.

@Samanthac54j She knows. I have to tell her stories about each piece I give her, my grandmother died before any of my grandchildren were born. I love showing them things and telling a story about the item. I treasure every moment with my kids and grands.
