What makes this situation especially disappointing is the context. Cortis members have consistently shown genuine support, respect, and appreciation toward others in the industry. That kind of openness and humility is not something every artist extends so easily.

So to see that same energy met with a comment that reduces their work to something that should “stop” is, frankly, disheartening. Not because everyone has to like everything but because respect should never be conditional on personal taste.

Music is subjective. Styles differ. What resonates with one person may not resonate with another, and that’s completely fine. But there is always a way to express that without undermining the effort, identity, and artistry of others, especially in a public space where words carry weight.

Cortis, as artists, have never positioned themselves above anyone else. They’ve supported, acknowledged, and uplifted where they could. That’s why situations like this stand out, because the same level of professionalism and consideration doesn’t seem to be returned.

This isn’t about overreacting or taking things out of context. It’s about recognizing that respect in the industry should be mutual.

At the end of the day, no one is asking for forced praise, just basic decency.
