@MattST_Rbx @zerocovidzoe @NickNobbe Especially as I'm sure she has said she is 25 and has been working for an office since at least just before March 2020 so would not have been old enough to have a PHD anyway. Story is full of holes like how she has had covid 4 times despite never going out.
@MattST_Rbx @zerocovidzoe @NickNobbe I notice Zoe is saying she has a PHD in behavioural science and psychology now. Pretty sure up to now it was only that she studied lockdowns as part of a dtandard bachelor's degree and when I said she had a BSc she never corrected me. Very much doubt she has a PHD at all
@Jessied75235626@zerocovidzoe An official at the WHO has said cases are mild and there is no reason at this stage to think vaccines won't prevent severe disease. Once again 'Zoe' is posting completely unsubstantiated claims to incite fear.
@zerocovidzoe @richard87114520 He's not in the minority view though, is he. You are. Hardly anyone would want a near permanent lockdown. Even your own polls on your own page, which presumably is followed by some people who share your views, always have a large majority against lockdown!
@zerocovidzoe @pacer142 But the issue is not how we lockdown it's whether it is the best way to handle a pandemic while taking all the other consequences of lockdown into consideration. It is up to public health experts to determine that. You are, by your own admission, not a public health expert.
@zerocovidzoe@SarahInbarnet How do you propose the state can support everyone? If no one is working, and therefore can't pay tax or buy goods, where does the government get the revenue to support us all? Please explain where you think the government funds to support everyone will come from.
@zerocovidzoe @RaVe_74 @pacer142 @TonyBN3 You cannot meaningfully educate a 5 year old online. They need specialist face to face learning and to learn through play with peers. Any educationalist will tell you that. Whatever you're an expert on you're most certainly not an expert in education so please don't comment on it
@smasher3kuk@zerocovidzoe Your story represents how millions suffered harm due to lockdowns and yet Zoe still refuses to acknowledge that lockdown did any harm to any single person.
@zerocovidzoe This graph is just simplistic and misleading. We simply do not yet know whether omicron has a higher mortality rate. To presume it will follow this linear pattern with next to no evidence is fear mongering nonsense at this stage. All sensible scientists say more data is needed.
@dgurdasani1 Hospital admissions and number in hospital with covid has been falling over the last few weeks so not sure your argument on the NHS being overwhelmed stands right now. Seems the booster programme is working well and there is no need for your hysteria.
@zerocovidzoe@adamtowler2 As far as I am aware we did not have lockdowns pre-covid so I'm unsure what real world data you used for your thesis to evaluate the impact and effects of lockdown. What pre-covid lockdowns did you study?
@zerocovidzoe@adamtowler2 You have told us you did a module in lockdowns as part of an undergraduate degree. I did a module in the Enlightenment in the 18th century as part of mine, this doesn't make me an expert on the subject, just slightly more knowledgeable than the average man on the street.
@zerocovidzoe @UK_Centrist You may not agree with Balloux's theories, that is fine, but you cannot seriously say you are more of an expert than him. He has far more relevant experience and academic qualifications than you do to comment on covid.
@zerocovidzoe@NoelTurner194@Saffiya_Khan1@yaneerbaryam I assume you mean relevant. My point is that neither that, nor high viral load is the same as mortality. As yet no scientist has any idea of the mortality of omicron. If anything the early signs are encouraging. While more transmissible, it may be less dangerous.
@zerocovidzoe@NoelTurner194@Saffiya_Khan1@yaneerbaryam You cannot state it has a higher mortality rate, we simply do not know that yet. You cannot base a statement on a single case. To refute that drs in SA report mild, cold like symptoms so far. Much more data needed before statements on mortality can be made.
