@beckorio Congratulations! I've just finished reading it and loved it. You did such a good job of seamlessly tying together personal reminiscences and 'the facts'. Well done!
We’re committed to Buxton Museum and Art Gallery’s future, and while announcing today it will leave its Peak Buildings base we’re actively looking for a new home in the town. And developing a great interim service.

We recently had a visit from artist #WilliamHull's descendants🎨
They came after seeing Hull's paintings on our #Instagram and were surprised to find 8 paintings, 1 sketch book and 3 bound volumes of illustrated letters in the #MuseumCollection🤩
A wonderful shared experience!
#FarewellFriday👋
We're saying a fond farewell to our fabulous, hard working and forever-patient Collections Officer, Anna.
For 14 years Anna has cared for the collection, curated exhibitions, lead on big projects and navigated us through the last 12 months. Miss you already!🐻
@sarahmurden @ScepeDeneDays I don't know if it's original to the Crescent being built, but it's certainly old. We've got an interesting engraving at @BuxtonMuseum which shows names above the doors. I'll try and post a picture tomorrow.

We are proud to be mentioned in @AmyLShakespeare's article on #repatriation in this month's @MuseumsAssoc journal. Lots of us have done really positive work on returning objects, despite the national narrative.

@pezzco Ha ha. You probably know the answer! I've been debating the hierarchy of truthfulness. Is it Modes, exhibition labels (old and new) or an old photograph? It's a riddle.
An interesting day packing up bones of extinct animals. This wolf species became extinct in Britain around 500 years ago. All bones found in the #PeakDistrict. Not my usual day at the museum.
