@guardian Another article about fertility that uses one-sided language that frames fertility as purely to do with women. 30% of cases are due to male infertility + men want to have children too. @guardian, you should reflect reality instead of relying on outdated, insensitive frames
Back in May, @Climeworks quietly put out some startling news.
It's Orca facility, the world's largest direct air capture + storage plant, was not delivering on its 4,000 tonne/year capacity.
In 2023 it delivered just 921 tonnes.

Some thoughts...
Opinion polls often show lots of people personally willing to pay more tax. But they never ask the obvious follow-up question: how much more tax?
We did. It wasn't pretty.
This is incredibly poor judgment - endlessly giving a platform to a man who cannot be bothered to run for Parliament, with no role for anyone from the LibDems, SNP or Green party

Untruths being peddled everywhere.
Johnson wasn’t forced out by anyone but himself. The Privileges Committee (Conservative dominated) would recommend, the Commons (Conservative dominated) would vote, his constituents (Conservative majority) would decide.
He chose to quit.
After years of pay freeze and pay erosion, and the continuous attacks on civil servants (we are somehow fair game for any and all attacks as if we are not central to delivering government's priorities) it's no wonder many of us are striking. #ProspectStrike 2/2
And this is an average of up to 4.5% across the different grades, meaning many will receive less. Plus, departments need to fund this out of their existing Spending Settlements (which were largely based on around 2% awards), so it will hit wider budgets. #ProspectStrike 1/2
Today's strike follows the refusal of the government to enter negotiations having imposed a pay control of 4.5% which will further erode living standards.
This leaves civil servants with some of the worst pay settlements in the public sector this year

This action was avoidable, but failure by government to make a comparable offer to elsewhere in the public sector has made it inevitable - @mikeclancy1 📢
On Wednesday, Prospect members in the public sector are striking over pay & conditions #ProspectStrike
