Here are some great ideas to keep the holiday indulgent without eating yourself sick. Remember, it's a holi-DAY, not a holi-WEEK, so keep the leftovers to a minimum and focus on what's really important this holiday season!

PSYCHOLOGISTS:What do your patients identify as the single most important intervention you provided?
My post-op #bariatric pts most often mention our mindful eating exercise when reflecting on turning points in their relationship w/food, even years after treatment. #psychtwitter
Worked hard to lose some weight, only to regain it later? Weight loss is hard, but so is maintaining that new weight, in part due to metabolic adaptation. Another great Obesity Summit this year @clevelandclinic! #Obesity19
Love being part of the @ClevelandClinic ! We ranked one of the top hospital systems in the US yet again. I delivered my daughter at Fairview Hospital, the 4th best hospital in #Ohio - I felt confident knowing I was in good hands!
Congrats to our Caregivers!

If you really want to try IF, I recommend the most conservative version - try a 12 hour eating window, 12 hour fasting window: BF at 7am, close the kitchen by 7pm. It helps eliminate the extra needless grazing so often squeezed in at the end of the day. #IntermittentFasting

5 oz of wine is about 125 calories. Drink that daily and it could add up to about 12# of body fat per year. Also, watch your pour - many people over serve themselves, leading to even more weight gain. #DryJuly#alcohol#weightloss

@RM_CancerRehab @aicrtweets Agreed! We simply don't have the evidence to recommend this type of diet in an oncology setting currently. Meanwhile, these patients lose QOL and can end up with malnutrition, which we know can worsen prognosis!
There's a lot of hype about whether a #keto#diet could help people diagnosed with #cancer. So far, we lack research that shows significant positive outcomes; meanwhile, this diet can lead to some not-so-fun side effects and affect quality of life. Here's more from @aicrtweets
Currently, no major cancer health organizations, including AICR, recommend the ketogenic diet for cancer patients – or for cancer prevention. https://t.co/E5t3rd7ldq
Leaky Gut Syndrome is NOT a medically recognized diagnosis (but may possible be a symptom of another problem) - so stop buying products that claim to treat it! https://t.co/JiQL2HE08A via @SELFmagazine

Avoid sugary drinks like juice and soda. Instead, choose water, herbal tea, flavored seltzer, decaf tea/coffee, infused water (try lime and mint!), or unsweetened almond milk - aim for at least 64 oz per day to stay hydrated! https://t.co/QB2DbU76CN @fox8news
