Listening to Anna Wescoat this morning on the way in. I absolutely love her voice. Her new single from this year, “Moving Slow” is one of my favorite songs released this year. I love how her vocals are forward but seem to hang along the edges, like honey drizzling down the side of a buttery piece of toast. I like that effect. It reminds me of an Andy Warhol painting found in his book Flowers, Flowers, Flowers: “I decided to grow along the sidelines, like a good wildflower”. I don’t know why, just reminded me of that. Either way, I am eagerly anticipating an album from her. I’d even do the album art if given the chance. Just such a cool sound. Anyways, hope everyone has a fantastic Wednesday!
