You may be hearing a lot of talk lately about groups like the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), who promote communism under the guise of democratic socialism. It isn’t socialism—it’s communism, and communism does not work. America is a capitalist country and should remain one, but we should certainly fix some of our systems to enable everyone to achieve greater growth and prosperity.

Yesterday evening on July 4th I was blessed to see a double rainbow & also a few minutes later a full rainbow night clear ark to ark with the foot nearby. It re- instilled in me a sense of wonder and hope. What I hope for America right now is plenty of decent paying work and opportunity for everyone

Latest Supreme Court ruling : Literally no point running as a grass root candidate anymore : Previously, individuals could only give $3,500 directly to a federal candidate per cycle, but could give $44,300 annually to a national party committee. Because parties can now coordinate and spend those larger sums without restriction, wealthy donors can exert much more direct influence over individual campaigns via the party apparatus.

Birthright citizenship upheld. The Supreme Court upheld birthright citizenship, striking down Trump’s executive order. Chief Justice John Roberts, calling citizenship “the right to have rights,” wrote for the court that “the Framers of the Fourteenth Amendment extended that promise to ‘every free-born person in this land.’ We keep that promise today.”2. The Supreme Court is letting states ban transgender athletes from playing on girls sports teams

I join so many around the world in mourning the passing of the extraordinary Robert A.F. Thurman.

It was a profound honor to have my film Buddha Wild presented to a sold-out audience at Tibet House. That evening remains one of the most meaningful experiences of my career, made possible through the generosity, vision, and warmth of Robert, Tibet House, and the Thurman family.

Robert devoted his life to bringing the wisdom, compassion, and teachings of Tibetan Buddhism to the Western world. He was not only a brilliant scholar, but a bridge between cultures, a tireless advocate for Tibet, and a teacher whose influence reached far beyond academia. He touched countless lives.

To the entire Thurman family, please accept my deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers.

His physical presence may be gone, but his teachings, his spirit, and his light will continue to inspire generations to come.
