this is literally why unmitigated capitalism leads to fascism. when the goal is accumulation of wealth at all costs, you inevitably end up with a few people/entities that hoard everything and turn to violent forms of control in order to maintain it.
this is why i simply can’t get behind rating a book 4-5 stars when the review boils down to “great idea, terrible execution/prose.” the idea has no value if it’s executed badly, and the prose IS the story! stop giving shitty writing a pass bc you think the idea had potential!!!
I feel like real lovers are okay with being single. I’d rather do my own thing until the universe aligns and connects me with 𝘵𝘩𝘦 one rather than just get with 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦one for the sake of not feeling lonely.
Yep. Men are not leaders. Men don’t like to lead and they’re bad at it. Men are most content in drone-like roles where they can follow orders and don’t have to take accountability if things go wrong.
I don't understand why the Cornell rapist would flee to Dubai when he could've stayed in the US and become a Republican politican, pastor, SCOTUS justice or maybe even president.
Guys can we please not be parasocial about Zohran. You can like him but also publicly push him on Palestine. He’s a political actor not some benevolent leader of American socialism. His actions will reflect the pressure he feels from other political actors. So…
I don't give a fuck about Israeli pain, Israeli whining, Israeli narratives. You're colonizers, butchers, rapists, and thieves on stolen land. Boo hoo, you had a bad day because people reacted to a century of your depravity. If you don't like it, get the fuck off stolen land.
most men think like this, they’re made to follow orders. so much so, women find it so attractive when a man can intentionally and thoroughly plan things. its where that phrase “turn off my brain” comes from, but people online made it weird like women wanna be infantilized
“The actually readable classics” would’ve sent me into a spiral. Anyone with the slightest knowledge of English as first and second language can read and understand classics (at their own pace), what really lacks is reading comprehension skills
