Bro, you all need to randomly visit hospitals more often, especially this period. You would weep.
It is not the disease that is killing people. It is the economic condition of the country.
My daughter-in-law got a promotion. She took the whole family out to celebrate, but she did not invite me.
A few hours later, she texted me.
“Mother-in-law, remember to heat up the leftovers in the fridge. Don’t waste them.”
I simply wrote back, “Okay.”
Then I quietly packed my bags and left.
That night, when they came back laughing and a little tipsy, they opened the door and what they saw inside stopped them cold.
It was 9:30 at night when my phone vibrated on the kitchen table. I was sitting there staring at a bowl of instant soup I did not even want anymore. The house smelled like floor cleaner, lemon polish, and loneliness. I had spent the whole afternoon cleaning every corner, ironing my son Daniel’s shirts, and folding my grandchildren’s clothes. My hands still smelled faintly of bleach...
I rebuke every spirit of entitlement around me. May I be surrounded by people who value respect, gratitude, integrity, and mutual honor. Not everyone is entitled to my time, energy, access, or resources.I choose wisdom in my relationships, discernment in my decisions, and peace in my circle.
Yesterday, my company announced salary increases for everyone.
The office erupted.
People were hugging each other.
Some were already planning vacations.
Others were talking about finally buying things they’d been putting off for months.
Then I noticed one coworker sitting alone in the corner.
He wasn’t smiling.
He wasn’t celebrating.
He was crying so hard he couldn’t even clap.
Out of nearly fifty employees…
He was the only person who looked completely broken.
I walked over and asked him one simple question.
“Bro… what’s wrong?”..
Virtually ALL the people screaming “virgin or nothing” online, will still get married to ladies with impressive mileage. All the expensive words for virginity ends online.
Dear parents,
No matter how much your struggles and challenges are, try and expose your children to some basic joys of life, some basic luxuries.
It doesn’t have to be expensive outings or expensive gifts. Doesn’t have to be the best gifts around. A simple outing filled with love, a new shoe, a new book, a favorite meal or a favorite cartoon or toy, etc. Or even a favorable family moment together can make a huge difference.
These little experiences would help them understand as they grow that life isn’t just about SURVIVAL but also about truly living, dreaming and aspiring for more, which will keep their spirits alive, active and progressive in maturity.
