Canada condemns in the strongest possible terms Russia’s latest missile barrage against Kyiv, including the strike on the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, one of Ukraine’s most sacred sites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the many sacred sites in Ukraine and Eastern Christianity. No cause can justify attacks on civilians, places of worship, or cultural treasures that belong to all humanity. These are not acts of war - they are acts of terror.
