Uvalde is a small town.
Edmond is a small town.
Blacksburg is a small town.
Sandy Hook is a small town.
Sutherland Springs is a small town.
And in those towns, real bad guys showed up, and no good guys magically took them down.
โMorgan Stanley is crediting President Joe Bidenโs economic policies with driving an unexpected surge in the U.S. economy that is so significant that the bank was forced to make a โsizable upward revisionโ to its estimates for U.S. gross domestic product.โ https://t.co/4uVzo0aE22
@CNN I celebrate 10,000 more lives, but I mourn the loss of some mothers' lives due to lack of access to good healthcare. Texas keeps voting to decrease access to healthcare. These numbers will only get worse unless access improves. https://t.co/A6nrDNuGpl
@marcyrw@Sunnysyl1@ortpcl@WalshFreedom I don't disagree but many people did vote for HC. She won the popular vote by almost 3 million! We really are a country run by the minority party. It's discouraging but I'm hopeful these rulings will inspire Dems to vote in numbers too big to manipulate.
Uh, let's see. Slavery for 200 years; Jim Crow until the 1970's; systemic racism against our own soldiers in WWII and coming home; I'm sure the descendants of these Americans don't necessarily want "a leg up" but probably wish they'd had an equal opportunity over the years.
@WalshFreedom I disagree with decision. I hope we get to a place where affirmative action isn't needed, but we're not there yet. This graphic kinda helps.
@SenThomTillis I used to think like this. Then I learned how systemic racism impacts opportunities. We all thrive when everyone has equitable opportunities. Sadly, we aren't there yet and this decision is a loss for all.
@JoshStein_ Agreed. Those who disagree with you are part of the 'let-them-eat-cake obliviousness' that Justice Brown Jackson mentions in her dissent. 'Deeming race irrelevant in law does not make it so in real life'. It would be amazing to live in a colorblind world but we aren't there yet.
@realLizUSA I don't own a Biden hat. I did have Biden/Harris signs in my yard at election time (& neighbors quietly told me they were supporters, too). I also canvassed to get out the vote and worked at the polls. No hat needed.
@JulieZebrak @POTUS Thanks for this. I know several people who have been at events where @POTUS spoke. They have the same impression as you (as do other world leaders!). I agree that he's done a tremendous job!
I'm voting for the Biden/Harris ticket. I'm not on the fence. I don't need them to "do something" because they are doing a lot & will continue working for the American people. I'm also voting Democrat down ballot. A Democratic Congress, Governor, Mayor, School Board are the ONLY
@RepDavidRouzer We don't agree on much, but thank you for voting to make Juneteenth a federal holiday. Not all GOP voted for it, but you did. It is crucial we remember this history and continue to work for a more equitable country for all.
