We have the newest casualty of the “parents rights,” movement in Southlake, Texas. And we can thank @AngelaPaxtonTX’s parental rights school library bill (SB 13) for keeping Texas kids safe from Pretty Perfect Kitty Corn in @CarrolIsd! /1
Pinkalicious and 700+ other titles removed from Lamar Consolidated ISD, near Houston
No - this is not the latest satirical headline at The Onion. This is reality for the 49,000+ students who attend Lamar Consolidated ISD schools.

@tamusystem@Glenn_Hegar@TAMU Remember- first he caved to the bullies and FIRED the professor and the dean.
He gave the politicians and activists throwing temper tantrums two cookies, and they came for his job, too.

How is any of this “protecting children”? And who exactly is engaging in indoctrination and mind control?
As an Aggie this makes me furious.
As a mom this breaks my heart.
As an American this terrifies me.
The past 5 years the arguments have been:
Masks and vaccines are Marxist mind control.
We must protect children from Critical Race Theory.
We must protect children from Anti-American content.

These people hate kids and teachers so much.
@txstatepta is an organization whose members are ADULTS.
There are LGBTQ+ moms, dads, and teachers who pay their member dues, volunteer countless hours to support their schools- just like everyone else.
Give me a break. 🙄
@MoKatSage66@LaneyHawes Some of the 1619 language is from SB 3 passed in the 2021 session 😑. But a lot of your new policy language does appear to be similar to what’s showing up in Conroe ISD- compliments of TEE. 😕
