Tulsi Gabbard just described the actual operating system of Washington and it’s somehow even dumber and more insulting than the conspiracy versions.

She needed one printed document for a 10 a.m. Oval Office meeting with the President. A mid-level staffer ... detailed from another agency ... decided he didn’t like what was on it, printed it anyway, then locked it in his desk and refused to hand it over. Her chief of staff went down. Her general counsel went down. Both got told to pound sand until the guy’s real boss at his home agency finally gave permission.

That’s the “deep state.” Not some secret society in a basement. Just some nobody with a desk drawer and a God complex who genuinely believed his personal veto outranked the Director of National Intelligence and the elected President of the United States.

This is what Gabbard means when she says they “thrive in the gaps between elections.” The voters pick a direction every four years. The permanent class decides which parts of that direction are even allowed to reach the Resolute Desk. They control the files. They control the information flow. And they’ve been doing it across administrations for decades because the only thing they actually answer to is each other.

The rest of us are just supposed to pretend the elections are real while these people quietly decide what the winner is permitted to know and act on.

History is more than just the documentation of events.

It is a reminder of heritage, identity, and the sacrifices made by the forefathers of a civilization to create a better world for their children and children’s children to live in.

The practice of honoring such history, even if it isn’t your own, is one that allows for the understanding of greatness and the value of sacrifice to permeate your being.

Of course, history will also show that humanity has always made mistakes, and that humanity will likely continue to do so.

Nevertheless, you mustn’t loathe nor be ashamed of those mistakes; instead you are to learn from them, in order to avoid their repetition.

The loathing of one’s own history and the desire to forget it become the source of immense internal and external turmoil that, if allowed to continue and spread, can decimate a civilization.

This is why the keeping and remembrance of history’s greatest moments is important, for a civilization must never forget what it is and what it stands for.

Another illegal immigrant with a state-issued commercial drivers license killed a PA state trooper last week.

A reminder that the Illinois Secretary of State has issued at least 10,000 non-domiciled CDLs since 2023. A DOT audit found at least one in five did not meet federal guidance--meaning they were illegally issued.

Only a matter of time before a similar tragedy happens here.

Today's birthright citizenship ruling by the Supreme Court is the most egregious, lawless violation of our most crucial sovereign power as American citizens:

To determine who becomes one of us.

There is no chance in hell we fought a civil war and enacted the 14th amendment to give birthright citizenship to the kids of birth tourists, terrorists, human traffickers, temporary visitors, and other illegals.

After today's abomination of a ruling, Chinese birth tourists can simply give birth to their kids in America, immediately return to China, never step foot in America again, mail in from China their kids' ballots into American elections when they turn 18, and collect social security and other benefits of American citizenship the rest of their lives.

Ask this dispositive question:

If American Indians didn't have birthright citizenship under the 14th amendment, how the hell do Chinese birth tourists?

They simply don't.

Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Amy Coney Barrett, who auditioned as the next Scalia, shamefully put their vanity over our country.

This is the ultimate betrayal.

Chinese birth tourists fly in, have a baby, fly home, and never come back.

That child gets a Social Security number and gets to vote.

It will mail ballots from China.

It will collect Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

That is not what the framers of the Fourteenth Amendment intended.

They wrote it to give citizenship to the children of freed slaves. Not to hand it out to the world.
