Women who have had high blood pressure during pregnancy (HDP), such as preeclampsia, may be at increased risk for dementia. New data out of #AAIC22: HDP was associated with white matter pathology, a predictor of accelerated cognitive decline, 15 years after pregnancy.
Hearing loss is linked to 8% of all dementia cases worldwide, according to the Lancet Commission. Today the FDA ruled that hearing aids no longer require a prescription, a move that will improve access and lower cost. A huge boon for Alzheimer's prevention! #endalz
