I never expected my handmade Godzilla lamps to reach so many people. Every order reminds me that my work has value and motivates me to keep creating. If you've been waiting to get one, thank you for supporting my journey. โค๏ธ
A 24-year-old Polish tennis player arrived in Paris last week ranked 114th in the world, with no sponsors, no guaranteed income, and no certainty she could even pay for her hotel room.
She had to win three qualifying matches just to enter the French Open main draw. Prize money is only paid at the end of the tournament, so a Polish sports drink brand quietly stepped in and covered her hotel bill.
Her name is Maja Chwalinska. And today, she plays in the French Open final.
Before this tournament, she had won exactly one Grand Slam main draw match in her entire career. She had battled depression so severe that in 2021 she couldn't get out of bed. She underwent knee surgery in 2022. She spent years grinding through small tournaments across Europe just to stay afloat.
Then she arrived in Paris, won three qualifiers, and kept winning. Zheng Qinwen. Elise Mertens. Maria Sakkari. Diana Shnaider. Nine straight matches. One set dropped.
She is now the first qualifier in French Open history to reach the final. The last time a qualifier reached a Grand Slam final, it was Emma Raducanu at the 2021 US Open. Raducanu won.
By simply making the final, Chwalinska has earned more prize money than her entire career combined. The runner-up cheque alone is $1.6 million. If she wins today, she takes home $3.25 million.
One week ago she couldn't pay for her hotel room.
Nah, this is amazing.
Ireland ๐ฎ๐ช didnโt qualify for the World Cup, but their flag is similar to that of Ivory Coast ๐จ๐ฎ.
So a pub in Ireland, decided to support Ivory Coast at the WC. Theyโll be selling Ivorian meals & playing Ivorian music.
This is top
My only remaining gripe with the club after Wednesday is that Uche has been completely airbrushed from our season.
Whatever's happened behind the scenes, he was a (small) part of our Conference League journey, and it's a shame that his contributions haven't been acknowledged.
Chadi came back from two very serious injuries and put in an excellent performance against Rayo Vallecano. He now goes to the World Cup with Morocco. โค๏ธ๐

All those Croydon Arsenal fans who were "taking over Selhurst" last week can still walk down the road and see a European trophy if they want ๐๐๐
If Morgan Rogers didnโt have his goal vs Manchester United disallowed last season, we wouldnโt have won the Europa League.
If Jean-Philippe Mateta wouldโve passed his AC Milan medical, Crystal Palace may not have won be Conference League.
Itโs all about moments โ #avfc | #cpfc
Having reflected on our European Final win, we wanted to thank Rayo Vallecano supporters for their passion and contribution to the atmosphere and spectacle on the night.ย On line message boards and social media are full of stories of how brilliant they were. Not just at the match, but before and after.
Like Palace, their club has existed for many years without ever reaching recent heights, their fans take pride in supporting their local club and more importantly their community.ย As Palace fans have done previously, they stayed long after the end and supported their team even in defeat. We see Rayo as something of a kindred spirit with Crystal Palace.
We wish Rayo Vallecano and their supporters every success for the future.

Had this flag taken at the stadium on Wednesday. Iโm hopeful and can only assume it was taken by mistake. Was put up at the back of block 26/25 stairway. Itโs got our names on and would obviously like to keep it cherished. Please help return it to me. Thanks. #cpfc
