All classes in VSSUT, Burla will be held online from March 1. The semester exams of the final year will be held in offline mode: VSSUT Vice-Chancellor Bibhuti Bhusan Pati
The hostels are unclean, unhygienic and no protocols what so ever are being observed. And yet university is calling the students to give exams offline with parents' undertaking.
This is a sheer disobedience of Government order and also a total indifference towards students' grievances on the part of VSSUT authorities. The university is playing with not only students' careers but also their lives since the pandemic is still not over.
This is a strict violation of government order because as per govt. order, it is compulsory for the college to provide us with minimum 100 days of proper physical classes in order to take offline exams (even if syllabus has been completed in online mode).
The authorities have organized back-to-back offline exams with no gaps. We will have to give 4 hours exam each day for 5 days straight with no gaps (and no reduction in syllabus), especially in such a situation when we haven't been given a single day of physical classes.
We, the students of VSSUT, BURLA hereby demand ONLY ONLINE EXAMS for the odd semester as we did not get proper offline classes for the odd semester. We totally condemn the decision taken by our college authorities to conduct offline exams.
In such dreadful scenario it's not possible for students to come to college and the parents are worried about sending the students back to their campus too.(3/3)
2 Final year Students of VSSUT, Burla have been tested COVID positive after undergoing a test at VIMSAR, Burla who might have already come in contact with college staffs and other locals (owing to the fact that our college is not a closed campus). (1/3)
The college has provided no specifications as such for the isolation process in case a student gets affected by COVID.The isolation wards in Sambalpur lacks space for recently affected patients, and at the same time the tally of affected people is increasing in the district.(2/3)
https://t.co/x9SIG2SRLV This is the scene of a Govt Bus. Then how can a student travel safely to hostel safely. If they reach hostel with Covid negative certificate then isn't it possible he may be affected on the way to hostel. @otvnews@Naveen_Odisha@CMO_Odisha @SDTE_Odisha
University says it will reopen with covid restrictions... No staff is using mask properly in front of media also.. Then how they will take care of students properly as they said.. How can we trust their words only..
Govt and universities are forcing students for offline classes. But they will not take risk of students. If something happen to any student who will take care of his/her family.
@Naveen_Odisha
Or
@CMO_Odisha
Will take responsibility of their family?

Covid negative certificate should be brought is told in universities. Is there any guarantee that no-one will be affected during the journey. If universities and govt are telling that care of students will be taken properly then what is the need of consent of parents
