This is the first time I'm seeing Peter Obi laugh this loud 😂
Peter Obi making fun of the first lady Remi Tinubu for telling Nigerians to be selling Akara and kulikuli
One day in this life not life to come every one who wittingly or unwittingly displayed hatred or even tried to pervert justice for the sake of tribe or politics shall be rewarded in their own coins .Power I have known is transient people easily forget history
"With the way this government is going, I may not even be alive to contest the 2027 election. Every single thing I do for a living, this government is deliberately frustrating. I face frustration every day. They recently locked my car at the airport."
—NDC presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi
Femi Falana stated that Ali Modu Sheriff, the former governor of Borno State, founded Boko Haram. He was arrested in Cameroon over his links to the group, but the Nigerian government stepped in and negotiated his release. Falana challenged Sheriff to sue him if the claims are untrue.
This remarkable.Persons like Modu Sheriff ought not be taken seriously in northern discussion .They fail to give opinions on relevant issues bedeviling the north and choose tribalistic engagements
I watched with disappointment the recent interview granted by Senator Ali Modu Sheriff to Channels Television on Monday.
After a prolonged absence from public discourse, one would have expected that time away might have sharpened Senator Sheriff’s judgment. Regrettably, that does not appear to be the case.
In the interview, the former governor claimed that Peter Obi cannot command sizeable support in Northern Nigeria. It is curious that he has appointed himself spokesperson for the Northern masses. For the record, in his first outing on the presidential ballot, Mr. Obi secured approximately 2.8 million votes in the region — a remarkable achievement that cannot be dismissed lightly.
Given the current national hardships, the widespread consensus on the failure of the APC administration, and the addition of a strong Northern figure to the ticket who previously garnered 1.45 million votes in the region, the OK ticket remains a formidable force in Northern politics.
Even more surprising was Senator Sheriff’s assertion that the people of Kano would not vote for Mr. Obi. Let me state clearly: the good people of Kano are neither bigoted nor xenophobic. They have consistently demonstrated strong trust in the Kwankwasiyya movement and will support any credible ticket presented under its banner.
I respectfully advise Senator Sheriff that, in future national television appearances, he would do better to speak to the serious insecurity and humanitarian challenges facing his home state, rather than making divisive and poorly considered remarks.
The OK ticket currently represents the best opportunity for Nigerians to reset the country and place it on a path of competence, unity, and progress. - RMK

On this X Tuesday, I join millions of faithfuls across the world in calling for the release of MAZI NNAMDI KANU & all that are detained on account of expressing their right to self determination. As I’ve always maintained, this matter is political, not judicial.

WHEN IGNORANCE SPEAKS FOR THE ANCESTORS
I recently watched a video from a WTO event where Chief Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was joyfully dancing with an Igbo masquerade that looked every inch like Adamma, or perhaps Mmanwu Ogba Egwu. I found the display heartwarming and left a comment to that effect.
Soon afterwards, my inbox was flooded by some young Igbo men and women who, perhaps, believe they are more ancestral than our ancestors themselves. Some hurled unprintable insults at me. One even declared that he would unfollow me simply because I praised a woman for dancing with a masquerade.
That reaction makes it necessary to clarify a few things.
Many of our young people, out of ignorance rather than knowledge, now attribute to our ancestors customs and prohibitions that the ancestors themselves never created. Sentiment has replaced understanding.
In the traditional order of masquerades across many parts of Igboland, not every masquerade served the same purpose. Some were sacred, some performed judicial or ritual functions, while others were created primarily for entertainment and communal celebration.
Masquerades such as Adamma, Atumma, Mmanwu Ogba Egwu, and many others known by different names in different Igbo communities, belonged to the category designed to entertain. They freely mingled with women. Women danced with them, appreciated them with gifts or money, and, in many communities, interacted with them without any taboo. That was the tradition established by our forebears. It is not for today's overzealous youths, armed only with misplaced certainty, to rewrite that history.
When you encounter a masquerade that is truly sacred and not meant for casual interaction, you do not need anyone to explain it. Even men observe the necessary boundaries around such masquerades.
Ironically, many of the sweeping restrictions now being imposed on women are modern inventions, projected backwards and falsely presented as ancient tradition. Our forebears were far more nuanced than many people imagine. They understood distinctions. They created different cultural institutions for different purposes and made room for women to participate in community life according to those distinctions.
Therefore, there is absolutely nothing inappropriate about our distinguished big sister, Chief Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, dancing with the masquerade at the WTO event. It was a beautiful celebration of Igbo culture, colour, music, and identity. Those determined to read sinister meanings into such a moment should first take the time to understand the culture they claim to defend.
Our culture deserves to be preserved, not distorted.

A man like you was jailed for 5 years; life threatened. Children left behind; wife left under the sun and in the cold weather. Parents dead due to an attack in their compound. Kidnapped, tortured and denied food and medicine for the sake of freedom, and from nowhere you think you can dethrone, shift, suspend and remove such a man as the leader of the organisation or movement he bled for.
You are even using your fake name without your real pictures. When you are asked to go to Sokoto, you say you want them to arrest me, but you think you can speak when the one who dared his critics and came to Nigeria knowing he would be arrested. He was even courageous enough to inform the government the day he would be landing in Lagos, but you, who always sneak in through some border, will come out to challenge him.
You actually think people will leave a man who used his wisdom, his vocation for his people, for a serial blackmailer and liar like you guys?
Just tell me how I will look at what Mazi Nnamdi Kanu stood for and listen to Chinasa Nworu and his cohorts? So I will have an eloquent, dedicated leader like Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and embrace someone like Chika Edoziem? A notorious weakling who vacated his position for 5 years for Chinasa Nworu, only for him to resurface immediately his office was suspended?
No way. It can't happen.
The few of you following this charlatan are just dangerously unintelligent and terribly dubị́ous.
But soon all of you will fizzle out. You will abandon your old pages and start supporting Mazi Nnamdi Kanu again.

@EkeneAninze I agree with u AA is creating issues that he will leave to regret. He is just playing the spoiler knowing fully well it's Southern turn .He shouldn't cry foul come 2031
In 2021, When Dave Umehi defected to APC, Wike attacked him for defecting to APC, he launched a counter Attack in a press conference, by saying he came out from a very Rich family unlike Wike who came out from a very poor family background and that he was already a billionaire at 25
In 2026, Dave Umahi said his mother sold Akara in the streets of their village to train himself and his siblings all through their education, why his poor father was just a subsistent palm wine taper
Yet he became a billionaire at 25.
If you are chopping big time from Tinubu's govt, you must use lies and foolishness to defend whatever nonsense Tinubu and his wife says in public. Its a ritual
Even if Tinubu's wife says Nigerians should be selling their urines in plastic cup to earn a living
People like Dave Umahi will still come out to say he remembered how a cup of his mother's urine saved his life when he had ebola and healed his father's cancer.
Tinubu's regime is just too lucrative for those chopping with their 2 hands and too legs not to sound really stupid and foolish whenever they are defending Tinubu or his wife
Pat Utomi sparks fresh debate with controversial remarks on leadership in Nigeria.
“We have normalized impunity and disregard for due process in this country. When Yar’Adua was dying, people governed in his name. They did the same with Buhari, and they are doing so again today. This is high treason. That is why I believe no one above the age of 70 should run for public office. I am 70.”
His comments have reignited discussions about transparency in government, the health of political leaders, and whether Nigeria should introduce an age limit for those seeking elective office.

Breaking News: Russian President Vladimir Putin to Build First Russian Embassy in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria
The Russian Federation has announced plans to acquire more than six plots of land at Brass Junction in Aba, Abia State, for the construction of its first Russian Embassy in southeastern Nigeria.
In a statement attributed to the Russian government, the decision was made in recognition of the growing number of Igbo entrepreneurs and investors who travel to Russia for business, trade, education, and investment opportunities.
According to the statement, bringing a Russian diplomatic mission closer to the region will make visa processing, consular services, and business cooperation more accessible while strengthening economic and diplomatic ties between Russia and the people of southeastern Nigeria.
