This was part of the second coolest thing at 1401 Flower Street - a massive model of EPCOT Center in the middle of model shop. Every pavilion, every planter modeled in amazing detail. It gave you a tangible feeling of the place. It was beyond what designs or rendering could offer.
The queue music in Soarin’ O’r ‘Mercia is pretty great: Band of Brothers, The Right Stuff, Battlestar Galactica. Reminds mean of the original Condor Flats background loop.
It’s a lot of guest perception. People think a line that is always moving, even if slow, is “shorter” than a line where you stand for a while than move up the same distance in one go. And Ops is judged on ride through put. Empty seats are bad.
I've literally never understood the "keep your nose in the person in front of you's butt to decrease the wait time" theory. CM's and TM's telling me the 3 feet I keep between the person in front of me and myself is somehow causing the wait time to be longer makes zero sense. Now, if you are doomscrolling and you're up near the ride, sure. But just in the general queue, no.
Do not judge box office performance by what you read on the internet.
Instead, judge the box office by how much the price of churros goes up next month.
I’m going to write a Reddit post suggesting bubble wands are possibly linked to greenhouse gasses, then another claiming that post is proof bubble wands cause climate change, and then shame Disney to stop selling bubble wands.
The best improvement would be a speed ramp up to the original post show featuring the fully restored Progress City model (complete with your neighborhood GE nuclear power plant for clean and safe energy).
Memories.
The real sign pointed toward my first office. Keep going, turn right at the mill, then down past Stage 3, the Production Bldg. on your left across from Stage 2.
I liked the Starlight Parade at the Magic Kingdom. Nothing groundbreaking, but well executed.
And the crowd’s reaction to when Peter and Wendy fly is, I think, the strongest I’ve ever heard at a Disney parade. It’s a great moment.
@SunnylandProds I just saw a herd rushing the gate and up the trail - running, speed walking, dodging and dashing between groups. I too wonder how many normal guests know how many t worked. Your reply was the first one heard of the virtual queue.
The raw, uncontained primal frenzy displayed in migratory stampede of families with young children and Disney Adults with annual passes to the new Bluey show is a “can’t miss” spectacular at Animal Kingdom.
Hit all four parks today, ending in the Magic Kingdom. Looking forward to sitting by the peaceful Rivers of America, relaxing and enjoying the river traffic and the ducks floating by - just enjoy being in this place. Just like Walt wanted….
@ycdwx6gdg5 The questionable part was going to WDW in 90+ weather. The Dolphin is great.
But I remember standing on the shores of World Showcase Lagoon looking at the construction cranes in the distance while a bunch of WDI people cursed out Michael Eisner.
The main path of Animal Kingdom’s Africa and Asia sections are lined with so many snack stands and bar stands it feels like a food court.
It’s the result of on over reliance on annual pass holders.
I actually heard a vlogger say “please like the video, comment and subscribe”.
Seriously, the things one encounters when you can’t call in a drone strike.
@ycdwx6gdg5 I’ve liked it ever since it opened. A lot of services and amenities at a non-insane price. It just wants to be a hotel. A great break from the relentless “brand exposure activations” at the company-operated places.
