Saudi Aramco is here. Kuwait Petroleum is here. QatarEnergy is here. PetroChina is here. Vitol is here. Trafigura is here. Vopak is here. Seven of the world’s energy giants, all circling the same asset: Pakistan’s storage capacity.

Look at Pakistan’s geography. To the west lies the Gulf, where nearly one-third of the world’s oil is produced. To the north lies Central Asia, a landlocked region that consumes nearly 757,000 barrels of oil a day. To the northeast lies China, the world’s second-largest oil consumer, burning more than 16 million barrels a day and importing around 11 million barrels a day. To the east lies India, the world’s third-largest oil consumer, using nearly 5.6 million barrels a day.

Look at Pakistan’s geography once again. Pakistan is close to production. Pakistan is close to demand. Pakistan is close to chokepoints. Pakistan is close to opportunity. Pakistan’s geography is real.

Red alert: Right now, Pakistan’s geography is the most underpriced asset on the face of the planet.

Look at Pakistan’s geography one more time. Pakistan sits just outside the Strait of Hormuz. Every regional crisis reminds the world of one hard fact: energy security is no longer only about production. It is also about storage, routing and redundancy.

Look at Gwadar, Hub and Port Qasim. Gwadar, Hub and Port Qasim can provide storage, re-export, emergency supply and regional distribution options. For Gulf producers, storing some fuel outside the Gulf reduces chokepoint risk. For Pakistan, storage increases energy security.

Saudi Arabia, Iran, UAE, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain need Gwadar, Hub and Port Qasim. China needs Gwadar, Hub and Port Qasim. Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan need Gwadar, Hub and Port Qasim.

Three steps stand between Pakistan and Pakistan’s ‘Energy City’: a legal framework, bankable contracts and regulatory predictability. That’s it.

Look at the intersection: The Gulf is looking for strategic depth. China is looking for supply security. Central Asia is looking for access. Pakistan is looking for dollars. This is the opening. This is the intersection. That is Energy City. Yes, the oil may belong to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait or global traders. Pakistan’s benefit is the oil rent. Storage rent. Port charges. Pipeline tariffs. Blending fees. Bunkering margins. Insurance. Logistics. Security services. Jobs. Taxes. And foreign exchange.

Start with 17 million barrels of strategic storage. That alone can bring $500 million to $1 billion in investment. Storage rent can bring $50 million to $120 million a year. Scale that to 50 million barrels and Pakistan begins to look at $500 million to $1.2 billion a year. Build a mature hub – storage, bunkering, blending, pipelines, insurance, testing, trucking, re-export – and the number can cross $1 billion a year.

That is the business model. Not ownership of oil. Ownership of location. Ownership of storage. Ownership of movement. Pakistan has a choice: remain a country that imports energy insecurity or become a country that exports energy security. The mother of all questions is whether Pakistan’s governance can convert geography into cash flow.

POPEYES FRANCHISE GOES BROKE ON $233M IN CHICKEN

One of the largest Popeyes franchise operators in the U.S. just filed for Chapter 11 after losing $18.8 million despite generating about $233 million in sales.

تاریخی ایمانداری اور صحافتی ذمہ داری کے مفاد میں ضروری ہے کہ اس بیانیے کو ری سائیکل شدہ خرافات کے بجائے حقائق کے ساتھ درست کیا جائے۔
غلط اقتباس کی اصل
متنازعہ نعرہ ادھر ہم ادھر شھید بھٹو نے کبھی نہیں بولا۔
یہ دراصل ایک شہ سرخی کی تشریح تھی جسو صحافی عباس اطہر کی اپنی ذہنی اخراع تھی ، جو اس وقت اخبار آزاد سے وابستہ تھے۔ بعد میں خود عباس اطہر نے کئی بار عوامی طور پر واضح کیا کہ یہ جملہ ان کی اپنی ادارتی تعمیر تھی نہ کہ شھید بھٹو کے الفاظ۔
اس طرح یہ جملہ شھید بھٹو سے منسوب کرنا نہ صرف غلط بلکہ غیر منصفانہ اور تاریخی طور پر بے ایمانی ہے۔

بھٹو نے اصل میں کیا کہا
کراچی کے نشتر پارک میں ایک عوامی خطاب کے دوران شھید بھٹو کی اصل پوزیشن آئینی اور سیاسی تھی، تفرقہ انگیز نہیں۔ انہوں نے خلاصہ بیان کیا کہ
ہمیں مغربی پاکستان میں اکثریت کی حمایت حاصل ہے اور مشرقی پاکستان میں آپ کی اکثریت ہے۔ ہمیں آئین بنانے کے لیے مل کر کام کرنا چاہیے۔
یہ علیحدگی کی کال نہیں تھی بلکہ بات چیت کے ذریعے آئینی اتفاق رائے کی کال تھی۔

آئینی حقیقت
بھٹو نے مسلسل دلیل دی کہ
آئین دو تہائی اکثریت کے ساتھ بنایا جائے، سادہ اکثریت سے نہیں۔
سادہ اکثریت شیخ مجیب الرحمن کے چھ نکات کو یکطرفہ طور پر نافذ کرنے کے قابل ہو جاتی۔
چھ نکات، اگر اتفاق رائے کے بغیر نافذ کیے گئے، تو خطرناک حد تک وفاق کو کمزور کر سکتے تھے اور مزید ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر سکتے تھے۔

بہت سے آئینی اسکالرز اس بات پر متفق ہیں کہ اس طرح کے انتظام کے نتیجے میں دو نہیں بلکہ ممکنہ طور پر متعدد خود مختار یا الگ الگ اکائیاں بن سکتی تھیں، جس سے وفاق کے طور پر پاکستان کی بقاء کو خطرہ لاحق ہو گا۔

اس لیے بھٹو کا موقف قومی اتحاد کے تحفظ کا تھا، ملک کو توڑنے کا نہیں۔

انصاف کا سوال
یہ بدقسمتی کی بات ہے کہ میڈیا کے وہ حصے جنہیں تاریخی سچائی کی حفاظت کرنی چاہیے پہلے سے جھوٹا ثابت ہونے والا نعرہ دہراتے رہتے ہیں۔ صحافت ذمہ داری نبھاتی ہے۔ غلط بیانی ساکھ کو نقصان پہنچاتی ہے اور تاریخ کو مسخ کرتی ہے۔

بھٹو نے قید و بند کی صعوبتیں برداشت کیں، سیاسی ظلم و ستم سہے اور بالآخر اپنی جان قربان کر دی۔ سیاسی وابستگی سے قطع نظر، اس میں ان کا کردار

1971 کے بعد قومی حوصلے کی تعمیر نو،
پاکستان کو 1973 کا آئین دینا، اور
بین الاقوامی حیثیت کی بحالی،
انکار نہیں کیا جا سکتا.

شہید ذوالفقار علی بھٹو پاکستان کو تقسیم کرنے والے نہیں تھے وہ اس کے مضبوط محافظوں میں سے ایک تھے۔
بے بنیاد الزامات کو دہرانے کے بجائے، ہم ان کے تاریخی انصاف اور شکر گزار ہیں۔ ہر روز ان کے مزار پر فاتحہ کرنا بھی قوم کے لیے ان کی خدمات کا بدلہ دینے کے لیے کافی نہیں ہوگا۔
تاریخ کو ثبوتوں سے لکھنا چاہیے، نعروں سے نہیں۔

The Indian diplomat who was tasked by the Modi government against Pakistan, is now batting for Imran Khan.

Tharoor’s account is full of inconsistencies and factual misrepresentations.

Imran Khan was groomed and Selected by Pakistan’s military establishment in a process that lasted for decades. In 2018, despite rigging against PPP candidates in Punjab (Gillani, Hayat) and Sindh to steal their seats for PTI, Imran still didn’t have a simple majority. Independents had to be purchased by Jahangir Tareen and flown in on his private jet to pledge fealty to Imran.

His governance was a disaster that left Pakistan globally isolated.

Imran Khan has been provided medical care that is not given to average Convicts and as per his own lawyers, Salman Akram Raja and Safdar, IK’s eye sight is improving and he has far better jail facilities, a personal chef, exercise equipment etc

The fact that India is batting for Imran Khan while attacking Pakistan at every forum is the biggest argument against Imran Khan. He should be ashamed of support from those who actively wish the destruction of our country Pakistan.
