As $gALGO comes to the end of its life so does its vaults. We’ll be decommissioning the $gAlgo vaults as of the 27th of December.

At that time vaults will go to repay only and will not allow additional minting or adding of collateral - however they can still be liquidated and are still affected by interest payments.

We advise all users of the $gALGO vaults to repay their $xUSD loans as soon as possible.

If you want to continue using $xUSD vaults we already support $xALGO from @FolksFinance and many other collateral options.

Day 1⃣: Algorand keeps generating more and more revenue!

This is actually a key metric for the long-term sustainability of the network.

Since transaction fees on #Algorand are extremely low and fixed (0.001 $ALGO per txn), it's crucial for the network to maintain a significant level of on-chain activity.

Why? Because, in the long run, transaction fees will be the exclusive source of rewards for validators on the network. As a result, it's important for this process to remain profitable for those securing the network and to ensure that enough revenue is generated to fairly remunerate them! 🧑‍💻🌐

And here's the great news: revenues generated by $ALGO literally skyrocketed in 2024 compared to 2023, thanks to growing on-chain activity, including increased real-world adoption!

We're talking about a 10x increase over just one year! 🤯

In 2025, we can definitely expect #Algorand's revenue to continue growing significantly, as many great things are set to launch on the mainnet.

I'm thinking, for example, of new airlines starting to use $ALGO via @travelX, generating massive on-chain activity, or promising projects like @KeoWorld teased by @marcvl!

One thing is for sure, $ALGO is on the right path to reaching self-sustainability in a few years! 💸
