we end up in toxic relationships cuz we don't stand up for ourselves early on when red flags occur. we let them slide, cuz we fear losing a companion. how long do u let disrespect and neglect go? at some point u have to develop healthy barriers for how you're going to be treated
One of the kids at the job ask me why I have so many tattoos, I just look at then them & left .. if you story you’ll be proud of me but then again you’ll be upset at me also .. so it’s best of both worlds
Greg Oden says him and Michael Beasley used to stay in and drink Hennessy on their off days with the Heat in 2014:
“I was scared of the city. I gave myself one day of the week… I rarely went out…. I wasn’t going to f*ck this up. They just got two championships. I know y’all met with Beasley before and I don’t think he told y’all but sh*t when we had off days me and that MF sat in his house or my house just drinking bottles of Hennessy. We not going to get in trouble again. He already had his first stint here. And I was just happy to get another opportunity so I’m not going to f*ck this up. We ain’t gonna go out or be seen out.”

“Advil PM, Benadryl, Tylenol PM, Zzquil, a beer… Percocet, Vicodin that I would take every night to sleep 4 hours”- Greg Oden
Greg Oden’s struggles in Portland had little to do with basketball. Battling bulimia, alcohol, drugs, and the weight of immense expectations, he was fighting battles far beyond the court.
Unable to sleep, Oden created his own dangerous mix of over-the-counter medication, alcohol, and prescription painkillers. Though only 19, the “house party guy” found ways to cope that ultimately fueled a downward spiral.
