@VinceRugari Donโt like them either but for certain fields like Callan it makes sense. Itโs in a terrible spot for drainage making it soggy even in good weather. Huge playing numbers in Balmain and used by local schools makes this a no brainer.
@workdemographer Western Sydney University have made big strides recently with itโs new campuses in Parramatta CBD and Bankstown CBD. Improved the Uniโs reputation and access for students from lower SES backgrounds. Your report further supports why this would work for UTAS too ๐๐ป.
@JoshVBrown93 I say all this having seen our local ground be knocked down and rebuilt at huge cost. But itโs been a success because the people wanted it.
@JoshVBrown93 Donโt think divide can be decreased either. As an outsider looking in, implementing this has been poor and damage has been done. Could get more people on board if there were options for rectangular sports and with roof could host big games for Jackjumpers
Australian Rugby Fans: never forget the damage News Corp has done to our sport.
Their spiteful campaign to degrade its value has been incessant, and intentional.
They are, single-handedly, one of the greatest obstacles to Rugby winning back the Australian public.
@workdemographer 95% of kids want to go to Year 12 but just over 50% do. Could it be that the TCE and the way it is set up be a problem? As an outsider looking in it is very convoluted compared to NSW HSC as an example. Does this make it even more difficult for kids to make the transition.
@JoshVBrown93 Possibly mate but Knights will be used to conditions. Christie Park is artificial pitch like KGV and it will be chilly, especially at night. Travel will be a pain so hopefully they can stay close by in Macquarie or Ryde.
@GunnerTas I have seen food and beer festivals coincide with local level football matches work really well. Most sports need to turn things into an event to get people to attend as the sport isnโt always enough unless youโre a diehard like us.
@DeanWinterMP Fixing it requires setting up support networks for students to help them to understand what subjects they need to select and why they are suited to them. A focus on careers education in Tas schools should be a priority ๐๐ป
