Criticism and scrutiny are part of public life. But maligning any woman—be she a public servant, a professional in the private sector, or a homemaker—through words, TV stories, or social media is not criticism; it is cruelty. It is unacceptable, and it must be condemned without hesitation by everyone.

Today, women are leading from the front—in administration, policing, governance, science, public life and media. Most importantly, they are also leading at home, carrying responsibilities that often go unseen, balancing work, family, and society’s expectations. To attack their character is to attack the very progress we claim to value.

As our ancient wisdom teaches:
“यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते रमन्ते तत्र देवताः”
(Where women are respected, divinity resides.)

The recent deliberate targeting of women officers through character attacks is deeply troubling—it is personal, damaging, and utterly unacceptable.

A society that cannot respect its women, especially those leading from the front, undermines its own future.
The message must be unequivocal: The Future Is Female—and that future will not tolerate humiliation, prejudice, or character assassination.
