What Is Happening In The Strait of Hormuz?
Simply put, the USA and Iran are battling for control. The USA is focusing on Bandar Abbas, the maintenance home for Iran's fleet of dwarf Ghadir-Class submarines (estimated 10 remaining).
Meanwhile, Iran is focused on destroying the U.S. Navy's P-8A Poseidon submarine hunters, reportedly launching out of Isa Airbase, Bahrain.
After spending several days leveling the ports that service Iran's dwarf subs, today the USA began cutting off all support and supply routes into Bandar Abbas. 3 bridges, a railway, and electrical infrastructure have all been reported to have been targeted in the latest round of USA airstrikes. Bandar Abbas has been cut off!
In an attempt to save the remaining IRGC subs, Iran has been relentlessly attacking the ISA Airbase in Bahrain in an attempt to either damage the runway, destroy the P-8A's, or delay flights.
Iran's problem
Now that the support and maintenance facilities for these little terrorist subs have been destroyed and all lines of support to the area have been severed, Iran is left with very few choices.
1 - Allow their tiny subs to remain still on the ocean floor and pray.
2 - Attack and likely get destroyed.
3 - Surrender.
That's it, there are no more options. Iran claims the tiny 95' subs can stay submerged for up to 50 days. Realistic estimates are more like 2 weeks to 20 days (max).
These subs can lay sea mines, launch torpedos and missiles, but they can only carry so many, and now they have nowhere to run.
GAME OVER for Iran.
