People who live wicked lives eventually will reap what they sow. All who blaspheme God, fight with God, or try to stop the work of God eventually will fail. But God’s Word ultimately will prevail. And, one day, everyone will bow before Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords.
Too many people want Jesus to save them so they can go to Heaven, while also wanting to remain in control of their own life. But, real salvation doesn’t work like that.
When Jesus saves your life, He also takes control of your life. He is both Savior and Lord.
As Christians we can’t say, “I was really lucky today” or “I guess that was just dumb luck” or “Qué será, será, whatever will be, will be.”
For the child of God, there is no such thing as dumb luck. There is no qué será, será.
God has a plan—a design, a purpose, and a strategy—for the lives of His children. We may not see His plan, but God sees it. And He always has seen it.
Speaking through the prophet Isaiah, God said, “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, . . . and my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine” (Isaiah 55:8 NLT).
I love if/then statements in the Bible
“My son, if you will receive my words And treasure my commandments within you, Make your ear attentive to wisdom; Incline your heart to understanding. For if you cry out for insight, And raise your voice for understanding; If you seek her as silver And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And discover the knowledge of God.”

In 2016, 17-year-old Jamal got a text from a random number asking if he was coming over for Thanksgiving.
Wanda, the 59-year-old grandma who sent the text, was surprised but happy to have him over for Thanksgiving.
The unlikely duo just spent their 6th Thanksgiving together🙏
