5 min ES footprint here. This shows absorption towards the high of day before a reversal unfolded. Aggressive buyers are being soaked by passive sellers, and price is stalling. I flipped short when I saw aggressive sellers enter around 12:45 after the absorption. Aggressive sellers entering after absorbing buyers is key for confirming that buyers are trapped. The little spike at 12:55 had me nervous for a second, but the thesis would only be invalidated if we made a new HOD. More aggressive sellers came right in afterwards which is exactly what you want to see in a situation like this. You don't necessarily need to take this short set up as it is advanced, but at the very least you should be able to see the absorption and realize it's probably not the best idea to be long intraday at that point.
5 min footprint zoomed out. Solid imbalance up from open. OTFU ends at 10am signaling balance, hence the box. We look above n fail, then traverse the distribution. The edge of the distribution also coincides w VWAPS, ONH, and an LVA. Great R/R on opportunity to join trend long.
Hi, this account will be used to journal and share my thoughts on $ES. Some shit posting but I will limit that. I utilize market profile and order flow to help me muddle through the auction process on a day-to-day basis. I hope to learn from others while helping where I can :)
@Trading_Balance@DadTraderr his trade was not based on the IB stat, it just added another layer of confluence to his thesis. he broke down his perspective on the order flow and his thought process in the post. he gave entry, target, and stop loss. not sure why ur trying to dunk on him here, was a fine trade
