Last nights eclipse from the east coast was superb. The most unexpected image was seeing the eclipse projected on the wall of our house as the light passed through the leaves on the trees in our garden.
@neiljbourke With 34 pairs recorded recently in NI that gives a total of 140 pairs for the island which is less than half the population reached in the heyday in 1970s. They have been declining steadily since as habitat changes. Now extinct in Dublin and Wicklow.
Reports coming in of many sick seabirds along the coast. Please dont bring them home or handle them if you think they might have Avian flu.
