@BuffaloSabres I'm thinking the Sabres are going to take a long look at Mrtka playing this season. He is a man amongst boys in the league he is in now. Makes no sense to not give him a shot! And he is a right shot.
@GuhleSzn@PierreVLeBrun I disagree with giving up 3 first round picks and a second for Brady. He's wildly overrated, and another slow skater added to Florida. Teams are going to skate circles around them.
@OwenP29 The move makes Florida tougher, not necessarily that much of a better team. A good skating team like Montreal, Carolina, Colorado, or Dallas will skate circles around Florida. Can't score goals when you don't have the puck!
@sidseixeiroshow Imo it's a way too much term for a 30 plus year old player that had one good season on one of the best teams with best powerplay in the league.
@JeremyWGR@ErikEimiller If it's a four year contract, sure, but not 8 years at big-time money for a choker in the playoffs. He just doesn't have that clutch gene imo.
@ErikEimiller@JeremyWGR Tuch has 4 more good years, maybe! Benson, Ostuland, and Helenius have 10 plus good years. Drury had the clutch gene that I don't think Tuch has. Even Briere was a better big game player. Tuch many times disappeared during the season and definitely in round two.
@23sabres I'd rather pay Byram, Benson, Ostuland, and Helenius. Why can't he be replaced? Peterka was replaced by Doan, and most groaned about that. Why can't Ostuland and Helenius be 20-25 goal scorers next year?
@ByMHarrington That always seems to be the case in overtime of the hockey playoffs. It's a lucky bounce or bad bounce to win the game. Only exception is usually when teams go on the power play!
@milstrategy26@ByMHarrington Sabres had the best record in the NHL from December 8th on. Before, they had tons of injuries and were in last. Won a playoff series lost in overtime in game seven of next series where his team outplayed their opponent. Get real!
@milstrategy26@ByMHarrington I disagree wholeheartedly with your take. He is a great coach but not the best and wasn't close to the best this year. Very undeserving of the award. What a sham!
@Chuckay3@JeremyWGR I say no to Tuch. Benson and Byram are more of a priority going forward. I like to see what a healthy Kesserling adds to the d core. Everyone said, "Where would the goals come from?", when they traded Peterka. That was remedied. Guys have step up in wake of Tuch.
@ByMHarrington Some teams just match up better against certain opponents. That's just sports! The "what ifs" will always be there in any sport. It is what it is. Good teams should and usually find a way of coming out on top!
@EricEngels That's 2 poor goals. Have to make a save on those. Dobes should have got pulled after the 3 goal.
That young kid has had zero help the last 2 games, maybe 4. Ouch!
@ByMHarrington You could tell by Tuchs body language and how long he sat in the dressing room that he was not planning or going to return. The "I have to do what's best for my family" spells the end for just about any player. Benson, Byram, Ostuland, Helenius are way more valuable right now!
@ByMHarrington I would he is almost certainly not resigned. I like investing in the younger guys anyway. He's a heck of a player, but cream rises to the top, and I don't see that quality. Minus 8 and no points is tough from what is supposed to be a top 5 player on the team. Thanks Alex good luck
@ByMHarrington Anyone who says you can't jab your stick at the puck when it's in the crease for a second doesn't know the game of hockey. That has been happening since the inception of the sport. If you see the puck in between the pads, you should be able to poke at it. That's hockey baby!
