I’ve found it’s much easier to start with a few possible directions instead of trying to invent a complete character all at once. A small habit, an unseen part of their past, or even a “what would they be like in a different life?” idea can be enough to start a whole scene.

and I like reading fanfiction, even roleplaying on character ai (please don’t drag me.) I just started my first job, and I feel like I’m moving on up in the world. But I feel like I can’t live without these characters.
