Did you know you’re saying a little prayer every time you say “goodbye”?

The word “Goodbye” is a contraction of the late 16th-century English phrase “God be with ye” (or “God be with you”).

Over time it shortened to “God b’w’ye” - “Goodbye.”
So every time you say it, you’re literally blessing the other person.

In Spanish & Portuguese: Adiós (Spanish) and Adeus (Portuguese) both come directly from “a Dios” / “a Deus” = “to God” or “go with God.”

You’re commending the person to God’s care.

French: Adieu comes from “à Dieu” = “to God.”
Same idea — you’re sending them off into God’s hands.

Italian: Addio is also from “a Dio” (“to God”).

You are literally blessing someone every time you say it!

When I was Muslim, I compared Muhammad’s last words to Jesus’ last words.

Not just the facts, but the spirit behind them.

And bro, the difference is staggering. It shook my devout Muslim faith.

According to Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad’s final words included: “May Allah curse the Jews and the Christians. They made the graves of their prophets into places of worship.”

Those are words associated with his final moments.

No forgiveness. No reconciliation. No peace.

Now compare that to Jesus.

Beaten, betrayed, tortured, hanging on a cross with nails through His wrists, Jesus says:

“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”

And then: “It is finished.”

One dies speaking curses.

The other dies extending forgiveness.

One ends by drawing lines and reinforcing division.

The other tears the veil and reconciles heaven and earth.

And whether people like it or not, final words reveal something deeply personal about the heart.

That contrast shook me.

Because one man’s final moments reinforced separation, while the other’s changed eternity through mercy, sacrifice, and love.

Many think Communism is just a political theory. It is not.

Communism is a spiritual weapon of the devil, designed to enslave souls and erase God from the hearts of Men.

This is why saints stood up to it.

Why is communism demonic? Because communism begins with atheism. It denies God and His Church.

Man is reduced to a number in the collective.

The State becomes "god". The Church becomes the enemy. This is satanic.

Can a christian be a communist? No. The Church has made this absolutely clear. Pope Pius XII decreed in 1949: Catholics who professed atheistic communist doctrine to be excommunicated as apostates from the Christian faith.

To support Communism is to support a system that seeks to crucify Christ anew, in His Church, in His poor, in His priests.

Socialist and communist regimes have persecuted the Church and its faithful since their inception. From Venerable Cardinal József Mindszenty in Hungary; He was arrested, tortured, drugged, and forced into a show trial. But he never renounced the Faith.

To the Martyrs of Ukraine of 1946 when Stalin outlawed the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

To the modern day where Christians, and the Church, in China, North Korea and Venezuela are persecuted. Just last month Maduro's regime had arrested a Cardinal and confiscasted his passport.

But we know the way to fight it.

In 1917, at the height of WWI, three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal received a message from Heaven.

Our Lady warned: “Russia will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will suffer much…”

The “errors of Russia” were not just political. They were spiritual poisons:

>Class warfare
>Destruction of the family
>Rejection of the Church
>Deification of the State
>Persecution of the faithful

These are the seeds of Communism, and they spread globally.

We are still suffering from these to these day.

Our Lady gave us weapons to use:

>Penance and reparation for sins

Many Christians wonder about the final resting places of Jesus’ closest disciples. While some traditions are legendary and relics have been moved over centuries, here’s a summary based on long-standing Christian traditions and historical accounts:

🇻🇦 Simon Peter — Crucified upside down in Rome around 64-67 AD under Nero. His tomb lies directly beneath the high altar of St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City. 20th-century excavations uncovered a 1st-century grave with bones consistent with his age and a graffiti inscription saying “Peter is here.” This is the most archaeologically supported apostolic tomb.

🇻🇦 Andrew (Peter’s brother) — Preached in Greece and was crucified on an X-shaped cross in Patras, Greece. His relics were later moved to Constantinople, then Amalfi in Italy. In 1964, Pope Paul VI returned the head to Patras, where it is venerated in the magnificent Basilica of St. Andrew.

🇻🇦 James the Greater (son of Zebedee) — The first apostle martyred in Jerusalem (beheaded by Herod). According to Spanish tradition, his body was miraculously transported to Spain. His tomb was rediscovered in the 9th century and now rests in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela; one of the greatest pilgrimage destinations in the world.

🇻🇦 John (son of Zebedee) — Believed to be in the Basilica of St. John in Ephesus, Turkey (now in ruins). He is one of the few who died naturally. Body is not yet found.

🇻🇦 Philip — Preached in Hierapolis (Turkey) and was martyred there. His relics, together with those of James the Less, are venerated in the crypt of the Church of the Twelve Apostles (Santi Apostoli) in Rome.

🇻🇦 Bartholomew (Nathanael) — Said to have been skinned alive in Armenia or India. His relics are traditionally kept in the Basilica of St. Bartholomew on the Island in Rome.

🇻🇦 Thomas — The Apostle who brought the faith to India. He was martyred near Chennai, where the beautiful San Thome Basilica stands over his tomb; one of only three apostolic tombs outside Europe/Middle East with strong local tradition.

🇻🇦 Matthew — The tax collector and Gospel writer. Tradition says he was martyred in Ethiopia or Persia. His relics are enshrined in the Cathedral of Salerno, Italy.

🇻🇦 James the Less — Martyred in Jerusalem. His relics rest alongside Philip’s in Rome’s Church of the Twelve Apostles.

🇻🇦 Thaddaeus (Jude) — Martyred in Persia or Armenia. Relics are venerated in Rome and other churches dedicated to him.

🇻🇦 Simon the Zealot — Zealous former revolutionary. Traditions place his martyrdom in Persia or Britain. Relics are associated with Rome.

🇻🇦 Matthias (replaced Judas) — His missionary work and death are less documented. Relics have been claimed in Rome, Jerusalem, and Germany.

(Note: Judas Iscariot’s fate is described differently in Scripture, with no venerated tomb.)

These sites remind us of the apostles’ sacrifice and the spread of the Gospel across the world. Many have become beautiful pilgrimage destinations!

In exorcisms witnessed by saints and priests throughout the centuries, one name consistently brings hell to its knees faster than almost any other, second only to Jesus: Mary🇻🇦

What does the name “Mary” mean?

🌊 In Hebrew, it is “Miriam.” The early Church Fathers and saints interpreted it beautifully as “Star of the Sea” (Stella Maris)…the bright star that guides sailors safely through dangerous waters to the harbor. Mary is the Star that leads us through the storms of life straight to Jesus.

😈 Demons hate her name with a fury that defies description. They choke on it. They scream, twist, and blaspheme when forced to say it. Why?

This is not because Mary merited it on her own, but because the Holy Trinity has sovereignly elevated her above all creatures (Luke 1:42, 48). The Father chose her as His beloved Daughter, the Son chose her as His Mother, and the Holy Spirit chose her as His immaculate Spouse. She is the masterpiece of God’s creation, full of grace by His gift alone, the complete opposite of the Devil, the accursed one.

Because of this divine elevation:

🇻🇦 She is the purest creature God ever made; conceived without sin.

🇻🇦 She is the Mother of God. The woman whose “Yes” brought the Savior into the world; the same Savior who crushed the serpent’s head.

🇻🇦 In her humility, she became the most powerful woman in heaven and on earth.

St. Louis de Montfort taught that the devil fears Mary more than all the other saints combined. Many exorcists report that demons beg not to hear her name, it burns them like fire.

So the next time you feel attacked, oppressed, or tempted…
Say her name with love and confidence:

“Mary, Star of the Sea, Mother of God, pray for me.”

The demons will flee & Heaven will rejoice.

This ancient sacramental isn’t just a habit. It’s a profound prayer that invokes the Holy Trinity, renews our Baptism, and calls down the grace of Christ’s victory on Calvary. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that the Sign of the Cross “strengthens us in temptations and difficulties” (CCC 2157).

But here’s what the saints, exorcists, and the Church have witnessed for centuries: it terrifies demons and drives them away.

✝️ St. Cyril of Jerusalem (4th century Church Father) taught: “Let us not be ashamed of the Cross of Christ… Be the Cross our seal… It is the Sign of the faithful, and the dread of devils: for when they see the Cross they are reminded of the Crucified; they are afraid of Him, Who hath bruised the heads of the dragon.”
