I spent time in Abakaliki—I lived there, served there, and made lifelong friends there. If there is one thing I know for sure, it’s that Abakaliki men and women are some of the most resilient, hardworking, and pure-blooded Igbos you will ever meet.
They are the backbone of the Southeast’s food supply and true definitions of legitimate hustlers.
It breaks my heart to see anyone feel diminished or defensive about being called an "Abakaliki man." No Igbo person is "more Igbo" than you.
Whether we are from Anambra, Imo, Abia, Enugu, or Ebonyi, our blood is one.
