Friends, during the next few weeks, I will be shutting down this account as well as the podcast's Facebook page. Moving forward, all Anthro Airwaves content will be housed on the @AmAnthroJournal social media platforms--follow if you don't already. A 🧵 if you want to know why:
P.S. Most likely what this means is that I'll be backing up this account and then logging out rather than deleting altogether for various, archival and digital security purposes. But there will be no new content on this platform--updates, announcements, or otherwise!

I am hoping that by merging with the journal's social media platforms, we can also expand the podcast's listener base, which while solid, has also been flagging for a few years! So, I'll see y'all over there!
in other news, a question for the hivemind: what are some podcast hosting platforms that support hyperlinks? I would like to transition from Soundcloud, which still doesn't have this function so that our episodes can link to stuff without having to post URLs!
One of my biggest goals for this season of Anthropological Airwaves was to decenter the centrality & hegemony, as it were, of sociocultural anthropology within the discipline and my own mind, and I loved getting to do so in conversation through episodes & their creators!
We're working on new episodes, but in the meantime, check out all of the great conversations we've had at Anthro Airwaves year. Y'all know how much I love a good multi-part series🧵:
And finally, in the third installment, Eleanor, a, takes up the prompt she posed to Drs LaRoche and McAtackney herself, looking at a site of community archaeology in Cypress, where her own research is based: https://t.co/M2HOHNTqI5
These episodes can be found pretty much wherever you listen to podcasts + on the Anthropological Airwaves episode of the @AmAnthroJournal website! Take a listen, and let us know what you think!
When I said, "new episode coming soon" on Monday, I really meant, "later this week." The final installment of CE @EleanorQ_Neil's series, "Archaeological Identities" is now in your feeds. Links to closed caption version + Part 1 + Part 2 in 🧵 below

In Part Two, Dr. Laura McAtackney talks about peace walls, Magdalene laundries, and the urban landscape in Belfast, Northern Ireland:
