[WATCH] The Ahmed Kathrada Foundation will today host a commemoration in Sharpeville marking the 1960 massacre that claimed 69 lives. The event forms part of Anti-Racism Week 2026 and honours those killed during the Sharpeville Massacre. Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi is set to deliver the keynote address. The action week, coinciding with Human Rights Month, aims to create public awareness about racism.
The programme today consisted of a visit to the Phelindaba Cemetery.
